wat
Yeah get some you fuckin Red Coats.
finally a new direction for the series.
Sounds interesting
European architecture yes please
Wait what? I thought Revelations was Assassin's Creed 4. Why do devs have to use strange counting methods for their sequels
Wait what? I thought Revelations was Assassin's Creed 4. Why do devs have to use strange counting methods for their sequels
AC:B and AC:R continued the story of AC2 so they count as sequels. Same reason GTAIV is GTAIV and not GTAVI.
I wonder how they're going to tie in the American Revolution with the previous storyline. The guy has to be from Europe. But in the last scene of Ass Creed, Revelations, it had Desmond saying he knew what he had to do. Then there was a scene in the future, where it had I think the Templars ruled the world, and they all got killed because of a sun strike(I forget the name)? How they are going to tie in, the hidden underground areas, and guns.. And a war going on.. Tricky. They're gonna have to do some crunching.
Wait what? I thought Revelations was Assassin's Creed 4. Why do devs have to use strange counting methods for their sequels
It's kind of the same way GTA have done it over the years with San Andreas and Vice City. (God dammit, ninja'd.)
Wait what? I thought Revelations was Assassin's Creed 4. Why do devs have to use strange counting methods for their sequels
Brotherhood and Revelations both have Ezio as the protagonist, so they're counted to the Assassin's Creed 2 story arc. I wish they would've gone for something more exotic. Maybe the devs can fix it, they always deliver good gameplay IMO, but the premise bores me already. Since the Assassin's are all about freedom and individuality it's not hard to guess what the central conflict will be about. I dunno, there's just so much America in games when especially a game like this lets you basically pick any place on the planet and any historical event.
I'll actually play this one.
Oh wow. I can't think of ANY other games that take place in this region, let alone any AAA ones that stand a snowball's chance in hell of being fun to play. Come on Ubi. Release this one DRM-free. I'll buy it if you do. I've avoided the rest of the series because of your fucking insane DRM, at least release this one without it.
So how is all the free-running and roof climbing stuff going to happen? I mean I love to climb up freakishly tall structures and jump off. You don't have many of those in Colonial America. I mean it sounds interesting and is a welcome change for sure, but how would it work?

I want to buy it, I really do. But I won't buy any of Ubisoft's games until they remove that crippling DRM.
Climb to the top of Independence Hall (Well, Pre-Independence Hall) and ring the Pre-Liberty Bell and annoy everyone in town 20 Gamer Score
Victorian London would of been cooler
It makes no sense that they would do it during the Revolutionary war, not the American one anyway. Everything so far had been pointing to the French Revolution. I was in fact really excited about it being during the French Revolution. What the fuck did you damned idiots do? You had it all set up that way, the marking from the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen, various little other hints in Brotherhood and Revelations. Hell, they even had a multiplayer map set in France for Brotherhood, an area that had nothing to do with the series thus far. How does this make any sense? [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] Actually, I get it, its a fucking election year. Got to appeal to the patriot idiot demographic.

And Assassins are supposed to win.

Watch, the game will end with fireworks and flag waving all over the city while whoever that jackass assassin is goes "Long live the U.S. of A." as bald eagles carve Mount Rushmore with their beaks.

And the fact that Ubisoft are based in France
Because every Assassin's Creed game so far ended with some patriotic bullshit ending, right?
No, but with this stupidity inherent in their decision for this one, it would not be surprising in the least.
How much you wanna bet we're going to see George Washington and Ben Franklin as templars or in hoods stabbing the shit out of dudes?
No, but with this stupidity inherent in their decision for this one, it would not be surprising in the least.
It's a stupid decision because you though it should have been something else?
No, but with this stupidity inherent in their decision for this one, it would not be surprising in the least.
Why are you throwing your toys around just from hearing about the REGION that the next AC will be in [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] final mission you blow abe lincoln's brains out sorry folks
I personally wanted it to be set during the Russian October Revolution. It has never been remotely covered in a game before and all the possibilities of using snow for stealth are amazing. Not to mention glorious Ushankas and Moist Nuggets.
That would be interesting, Lenin was an Assassin, Stalin was a Templar according to the lore.
I wanna know who the enemies are going to be in this one... Aren't Freemasons essentially templars?
