2 years ago I bought a laptop (which I am still using now) that was touted as a 'gaming laptop'.
It has a:
1.8GhZ Dual core
(had when I bought) 1GB RAM (now has 2GB)
nVidia 8400 M GS
160GB Hard Drive
I was pretty excited to find a 8400 in a laptop, because finding a laptop with anything other then one of those gma 'graphic accelerators' is pretty hard (at least at the time it was)
All this cost me 1,280.82 USD (converted from 1800NZD using xe.com)
I've not noticed laptops nowadays that are brand new, have (time equivalent, if you understand me) better video cards, etc, and are MUCH cheaper.
I'm feeling pretty cheated.
Back then it was good.
Now, no. So no you did not get ripped off, technology these days just gets real cheap, real fast.

Haha, funny. You didn't really get ripped off though :smith:
Laptops get outdated really fast, a gaming laptop from a year ago now has the same specs as a generic 13" or 15" laptop not meant for gaming.

A 1.6ghz i7 Duo, 6gb ram, and some random 1gb video card = $2000 right now :colbert:
T7300 Core 2 duo 2.0GHZ
Nvidia 8600 GT 256mb
2gb ram (now 4)
1300€ 3 years ago.
Cost me 800€ Because I sell them myself!
