Someone really needs to send a trophy award to Sergey Titov for the worst Public Relations, the shape of the award would be the truck from big rigs road racing, and the engraving on the award would be "YOU'RE WINNER"
wow this game looked so horrible i would've not gotten it if it was free
something i noticed that gives you an idea of how far they are willing to go to falsely advertise their game look at that promo image for the game. the casings are a decal and are not real, as seen by being cut off by the left floor texture. this gives the false idea of real time falling casings from firing a weapon. there are also no water physics in the game and nothing can walk or run into the water due to invisible walls, let alone have physics for floating to the surface, so the bodies in the water are obviously photoshopped in along with the splashes, another false idea represented to anyone who hasnt played the game before. certain objects in the picture such as guns are not casting shadows either, mostly because the game actually doesnt look that good or have great shadows when played even on high-end pcs. probably also photoshopped in. sad
what makes it all worse is that he said it was players' faults for misreading i hope this man dies, i truly do
My god the developpment of this shit is so chaotic. Wish I didn't spend money on it
Wow, is the game really that bad? I thought this was the new DayZ.
Wow, is the game really that bad? I thought this was the new DayZ.
More like the new Big Rigs Road Racing
I remember when I was seriously considering buying a founder's package to get into this game early. I am so glad I decided not to.

Maybe... :suicide:
they probably spent more time faking the pictures than actually developing the game
I felt genuinely betrayed when I played War Z
So glad I got a guest pass to experience this horrible game.

I'm so glad I got a refund right before the bullshit sped up "launch of the game" :v:
its funny how the game was sort-of- fine before it launched on steam but as soon it did hell broke loose but meh i give it a few weeks or at least a month before the whole game gets cancelled
More like the new Big Rigs Road Racing
As bad as War Z is, at least you can't walk backwards at an infinite speed.
The new listing details its one current map (100 square kilometers)
Which is still a lie.

"I was on the w-websittes before you were in your daddddys bals"
Anyone remember Titov's last major project?
btw, someone made a video about how to get a refund from war z, before it was on steam. they sent him an email:
They make it sound like he forced them to refund it. They still need to comply, unless he did a chargeback.

I would have emailed them back with just "Bring it" and wait for them to do something like sue me (which they probably wouldn't if they're smart enough), then sue their ass back for false advertisement and changing the Terms of Service constantly making me feel like I'm being extorted and forced to pay for a game I already paid for.
God it looked awful. [editline]20th December 2012[/editline]
[G:E] Nick_9_8: WarZ is on steam [G:E] Nick_9_8: since when :O ThunderChild: What? ThunderChild: Really? ThunderChild: It got through Greenlight? [G:E] Nick_9_8: Yup. [G:E] Nick_9_8: It's on the main page. ThunderChild is now Offline.
We got confused about the greenlight part, but yeah.
Glad it got taken down, but this trash should never have made it onto Steam in the first place.
Glad it got taken down, but this trash should never have made it onto Steam in the first place.
I hope valve takes this as a learning experience and has some better game review processes put up.
Shitloads of games have touched up promo images, both good and bad games.
there's a difference having an image of something that can actually happen in game, and completely making shit up and seriously some of them look like they were done in Gmod
there's a difference having an image of something that can actually happen in game, and completely making shit up and seriously some of them look like they were done in Gmod
Well it certainly is nothing new that's for sure They do this just to create hype for the game as stock animations holding still in an actiony pose aren't very good looking, so instead they just throw some poses together, add some shit and call it done, it's pretty common. On the subject of touching up photos in Photoshop Hitman Absolution did not look like that (thank fucking god) this was just done to get you hyped for OH SHIT SWEET GRAPHICS OMG They are essentially doing the same thing the "AAA companies" have been doing for years only they are being bitched at since it's the cool thing to hate War Z now, it's "scumbaggy" nonetheless and I'm not saying I agree with it, just saying it's here more than we think. At least they had the decency to put those "bull shots" at the end of the screenshot slideshow instead of the beginning, though they are still there nonetheless
Except there's nothing really misleading about those pictures, they didn't edit in features, they represent the game pretty well and don't completely lie about the graphics. Talking about the post above. And hey, those games actually delivered.
