Today we’ve begun rolling out a new business attribute that helps users identify businesses that offer gender neutral restrooms to patrons. What constitutes a gender neutral restroom, you ask? Gender neutral restrooms are accessible to persons of any gender and are a locking, single-stall bathroom. On desktop and mobile versions of Yelp, users will be able to see whether or not a business offers gender-neutral bathrooms to patrons. We will also be rolling out the ability to search for businesses on Yelp by the Gender Neutral Restrooms attribute in the weeks to come.

Yelp will collect this information from users and business owners in two ways. We will begin asking users who check into or review businesses like restaurants and retail shops if those establishments offer restrooms that are gender neutral. Additionally, business owners can edit the Gender Neutral Restrooms attribute from their business user account.
At Yelp we thrive on inclusion and acceptance, and we hope that our support for Gavin’s case and the addition of this new business attribute will help our friends in the LGBTQQIA community.
Now watch people get really, really upset about this for contrived reasons.
Great idea (though I have no idea what the hell a yelp is), I hate normal bathrooms in general.
I hate normal bathrooms in general.
Why
Why
Just preference. I prefer self contained stalls with the toilet and a sink.
In my experience the people using gender neutral bathrooms the most are families.

Feeling remorseful when you feel the shame emanating from other men at the urinals when you arrive?
Me neither
We need an app that can find the nearest acceptably clean restroom so I can take an emergency shit.

I don't use Yelp all that often. Is this actually a thing? If it isn't, it should be.
Single-person bathrooms really are a nice reprieve from the bustle of your day. You can take a while to relax and do your business/freshen up without worrying about anyone coming in.

Which is great, if you lack sympathy for the possible queue outside the door.

These are everywhere in Sweden. I don't think there is any good reason to not have them, they're just better in every way.
The Guide program on Google Maps has been asking me about gender-neutral bathrooms for basically every business I've been to, so Google is also trying to get this data.
I love gender neutral bathrooms. I use one on the top floor of the math building at my university because the large heavy door does a great job of blocking sound, the vents suck up my farts, and in case of a shooter, I can barricade myself inside while everyone outside draws attention away

I keep a mental checklist of bathrooms at my uni that I've dubbed the "anti-fuckboy" restrooms for this exact reason.
Neat!
according to their definition though, they wouldn't count youtube space la's bathrooms as "gender neutral" then
it's just a bunch of locking stalls with a toilet, and then a shared sink row, so everyone shares a sink, but you go into a locked stall to do your business
My old high school introduced single-unit bathrooms, but still rather pointlessly decided to label them as male or female.
It's nice to see something like this being even more accessible now, though.
Why
So I can take a dump in peace without the burden on my mind of people listening in on whether the shit is wet or not.
I'm glad not only for trans people but also for normal people. Urinals are genuine barbarism, like if you piss in a trough shoulder to shoulder with another man you might aswell start hooting and smacking things with a club

For Privacy? Sure. For efficiency? HELL NO. You can fit far, far more toilets into a single restroom with our current setup and save as shit ton of space compared to if you tried to have the same amount of toilets using single person restrooms.
Personally I am just fine with the way our system currently is and just to have an occasional gender neutral bathroom for those that want to use them. I don't really understand our aversion and worry about shitting in public bathrooms because it's all completely natural and really our society as a whole should just get over this retarded taboo anyways.

Then cause their right-wing brain to blue screen by praising the app creator for his entrepreneurship and exploitation of the free market.
:angry::mindblown:
Honestly I'd use this just to find the more comfortable bathrooms
