Registered for beta, I hope I'll get in sooner than later!
Also the business model is quite curious, exactly what I was thinking they are going to do - you buy irl Lego Minifigure packet, see which one you got, type in the code and bam, you can play as a guy you just found! This sounds really awesome, but I really REALLY REALLY hope it's not only just 'Minifigures' series, but the minifigs as whole. I really want to play as an Octan guy from 90's or, hell, as Infomaniac or Pepper!

Wait we can use codes ? Ok time to sign up for beta and make a lego account for the hell of it. Kind of like skylanders but they are playable and not fucking statues that sit there.
Funcom?
This could either be really average or really bad.

ha, Lego website was the first site I have visited on the web. I spent a ton of my time playing games there, and when I got in Lego Universe CBT I was so damn excited, and I loved the game even though it barely ran on my slow ass PC.

It looks like they're using the engine from Lego Universe, which was pretty damn awesome up until it lost all it's funding.
I want the Ninjago characters to be minifigures though, that's like my favorite "modern" lego theme.

Lego Alpha Team. I know it's not 'modern' but whatever.
There's over ten waves of these Minifigs already out, including the ones in the screenshots here. I doubt I can use my own collection to earn them ingame, which means only the newest waves will get that whole "Skylanders" aspect of buy-n-play. Bit of a shame.

Yeah when Minifigures series just hit the stores, I bought tons of Series 1 and 2 packets and was excited as hell. My favorite minifig was Crash Test Dummy, oh, the memories. But it's highly unprobable that I'd find them now, and obviously no way in this universe I'd get the packets they came with, so there probably would be no way to 'retreive' them in-game...

wait we missed one of the best things - the game is PC + iOS + Android, meaning that in theory(if everything will be working fine) it will be the awesome. Basically a better BF4 Commander Mode-like application but on a bigger scale.

well, at least something will be present from the remains of the most exciting thing of my childhood.
Game still under NDA? I got into the beta a couple months back. Dunno whether it's changed, but back then it was tedious and it ran like absolute shit.

Ooh, I wanna point this out, 'cause it supports my argument against other developers.
That's Gamebryo.
