My friend emailed me this coupon for a quite expensive item and it looks real but it just doesn't feel right to. Also this same friend has played pranks on me before I am wary to trust him. Try it out, they're not gonna arrest you.

See what he says.
Coupons are for **** and old people. (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - Benji))
uh its on the internet it must be real
What's the worst that could happen? The coupon doesn't check out? Just go to the store and by yourself some LIVE cards.
They work. You'll just be arrested afterwards.
How do these work?
Coupons are for **** and old people.
Self censor is so 2003
They work, but they are illegitimate. You can and will get in a lot of trouble if you get caught.
They're fake. What the bar code does is tell the cashier to enter the amount of money to take off, so you can photoshop a fake coupon for anything and put that bar code on it. Those are really obvious because of the amount of money they take off. I wouldn't try using them.
So if I payed in cash and hid my identity, I could get away with it?
The serial numbers are the same, :downs:
So if I payed in cash and hid my identity, I could get away with it?
No hezzy gonna find you and rape you with the law.
Phone him up telling him about how you were suspicious at first but then you tried them and they were legitimate.
i think they arrest people for these now
I was actually never going to do this but I was just saying theoretically if I did. I would have to be an idiot to use that though.
No hezzy gonna find you and rape you with the law.
what's a hezzy?
So if I payed in cash and hid my identity, I could get away with it?
Chances are if the cashier is smart and can see that it's fake, he'll try to hold you there and call the cops, at which point you run.
Well guys I traced these coupons back to /b/ look at this shit:
hahhaha
Somebody posted a guide on 4chan about how coupons work, and explaining how to forge them. The coupon will work, but the business might be suspicious and may not honor it. One guy even got a PS3 for one dollar at a Wal-Mart, explaining he won some contest online to get the coupon. Generally, people at big stores like Wal-Mart care less about this stuff than a smaller store like a Gamestop. I'm sure people at my local Gamestop would at least ask me about it. Also, they all have the same PIN number... I dunno if that happens on real coupons, I could be confused.
they got away with that?
Don't you have to mail those coupons not give it to... Toys R Us? What the fuck?
Pretty much they work in two ways, They either register with the cash register or the cashier is so stupid and since it looks so valid they manually put it in.
Don't you have to mail those coupons not give it to... Toys R Us? What the fuck?
With this type of coupon, the store accepts it from you (if it scans correctly), and then they mail it to the manufacturer to be reimbursed.
Pretty much they work in two ways, They either register with the cash register or the cashier is so stupid and since it looks so valid they manually put it in.
I thought that was a given. I think people are more wondering if they can get in trouble, and the short answer is yes. The thing is, if you have half a brain (and can lie) you can get away with it easy as pie. If you only use it short term, once or twice, and you get away with buying it, nothing is going to happen. If you get some type of scam going where you use it to make money, over and over, first the business will put out memos to head of staff and inform them that someone is scamming. If it continues and happens in multiple places and gets to an FFA's desk, it could get worse. Is it legal, no. The whole thing is, look at who is hurting. Most of you say the big wigs, which is false. These big companies put loss on the employees by not letting the managers give out raises and bonuses. So if you use fake coupons you are indeed stealing from the people who need the money the most.
lol was the cashier brain dead?
he could have been friends with the cashier
