Stringing hopeful fans along all this time just to end with an April Fools? Not cool.

While it looks tons of fun to play, I am pretty mad that this is what the outcome of a good 3+ months of anticipation was.

I think the joke is that this is a prank, while in truth it is real.
Didnt they reveal it already?
Sounds like an excuse to not work on it [editline]1st April 2013[/editline] Unless this is an april fools on its own
Hopefully this is a trick announcement and the real game will be revealed later. I'm not going to hold my breath though.
I've said it before in the deus ex thread. Buildups towards april fools jokes that don't start on the 1st of april are stupid.
I want that chyptune icarus remix.
fucjing he'll I want w new sets ex gods
I've said it before in the deus ex thread. Buildups towards april fools jokes that don't start on the 1st of april are stupid.
It's not really that, though. They had the name registered and decided to not use it, so they were like "Ehhhh" and made it into a joke on April fool's.
So wait can I actually play it? I don't see anything that says I can.
I'm crying.
I hope they do make another deus ex game though.
Why wouldn't they? I am 100% percent sure they are making one for next-gen as we speak. They already established a very successful reboot of the franchise with a very expansive world ripe for exploring more of.
That was actually pretty funny. I'd love a copy of that 8-bit Icarus rendition.

They also teased it as a new game on their Facebook page the day before. March 31st is not the day you start a prank, especially if the prank is based on misleading your fans into thinking they'll be getting something they really want and not even giving them the fake game you made up as a joke. [editline]1st April 2013[/editline]
So wait can I actually play it? I don't see anything that says I can.
There's a very slight chance they actually have something to release at 250k likes, but for now there's no game.
Jokes are supposed to make you laugh :(
So they hyped this for like three months to end it on an april fools prank, and don't even have the prank game to release? Not cool, Eidos.
So they hyped this for like three months to end it on an april fools prank, and don't even have the prank game to release? Not cool, Eidos.
No no no, this thing here is an april fools joke for the actual project, this is a fake release.
JJB posted a picture on his tumblr not long back where he's in the office with the DXHR team so they probably are still working on a new one.
So they hyped this for like three months to end it on an april fools prank, and don't even have the prank game to release? Not cool, Eidos.
they hyped it for one day?
they hyped it for one day?
They trademarked/copyrighted Human Defiance a while ago.
they hyped it for one day?
The rumors had been on for a while. In any case, the only day they should have hyped it was April 1st.
That co op move was actually pretty fucking rad. I'd play this
Actually, a 2D sidescrolling and/or fully co-op Deus Ex both sound like pretty cool ideas.
I'd hardly say Eidos hyped the game up at all, the hype train came from people speculating when they acquired the name. They hadn't announced anything, it was just people kicking themselves into a death spin of hype for little reason.
I still think Human Defiance is not only an actual game, but an HD remake of the first game. Human Defiance abbreviated is HD.
