French police seize over 300 weapons, jihadist propaganda in raids on mosques since Nov. 13 Paris attacks
Sources: http://www.christiantoday.com/article/french.police.seize.over.300.weapons.jihadist.propaganda.in.raids.on.mosques.since.nov.13.paris.attacks/72468.htm http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-france-shooting-mosque-idUKKBN0TL1GU20151202 (User was banned for this post (""Christian Today" is not a reliable source and using a misleading thread title." - BANNED USER))
"In 15 days we have seized one-third of the quantity of war-grade weapons that are normally seized in a year,"
I'm glad France is taking this seriously. Shame the State of Emergency is being abused a bit.
Misleading - bordering on the just straightup wrong - title.
France, which declared a state of emergency after the Islamist attacks on Paris, has so far raided 2,235 homes and buildings, taken 232 people into custody and confiscated 334 weapons, 34 of then war-grade, Cazeneuve told reporters.
The weapons mentioned were confiscated from the 2,000+ buildings mentioned. Three mosques were shut down for having jihadist propaganda. I'd guess that if they found weapons stockpiled in a mosque, they'd a) shut it down and b) mention that, so I'm guessing that the weapons were not found in mosques. And no, a single snubnose revolver in one single mosque out of the entire nation does not justify the title.
For people who don't read the article:
France, which declared a state of emergency after the Islamist attacks on Paris, has so far raided 2,235 homes and buildings, taken 232 people into custody and confiscated 334 weapons, 34 of then war-grade, Cazeneuve told reporters.
Edit: got ninja'd on that I wonder what the criteria for nurturing radicalisation is. They did apparently find jihadist propaganda in one of them...
That's fucked up, OP.
OP title needs to be changed, horribly misleading. This is the kind of dumb shit that gets people to generalize and other people to join ISIS.
For people who don't read the article:

French police have seized hundreds of weapons and Islamic jihadist documents in raids conducted on mosques, some of which have been shut down on grounds of radicalisation, since the Nov. 13 Paris attacks.
First article is pretty misleading.
I fixed everything so we can get back on topic, thanks.
It sounds like the french are creating a crime free world, they've done half their work within such a short time.
It sounds like the french are creating a crime free world, they've done half their work within such a short time.
People will still have other things to do crime with. Knives, blunt objects, various household chemicals, etc. No guns =/= no crime
It sounds like the french are creating a crime free world, they've done half their work within such a short time.
state of emergency probably gives the police the right to do raids without warrants/evidence so obv they're going to find a lot of criminals but also might just hassle countless suspicious but actually innocent people.
I fixed everything so we can get back on topic, thanks.
what's wrong with the score not bashing you just wondering
