Guy who got pretty rich by making a perspective-flipping indie platformer which most people hate for precisely those reasons, who also happens to be kind of a huge asshole to a lot of people.
If you've ever wondered why the character* "Judas" in Binding of Isaac wore a Fez, he's why.
It's a "retro" platformer where there's no purpose to the level design and you can't die so it's not hard or remotely interesting.
If it weren't for his ragequit I would have never even known what Fez was, who Fish was, or how much of an asshole he is.

Basically Marcus Beer criticized his game, and his racism, and his rudeness, and his general pretentiousness, and also called him a Blowfish. Phil freaked out and ragequit.

He only was rude to him to begin with because Phil Fish insulted him for asking his opinion on the then-rumored, now confirmed change on self-publishing on the Xbox One.
Beer fired back on his show when discussing the topic of this, and Phil Fish lost his mind on twitter.

It's sad because Fez doesn't seems like a bad game. Seems like the end product from someone who's the complete opposite of Fish.

If you release a game, you're going to get criticism. Especially when people pay money for it. I have absolutely no respect for him, especially if this is the way he conducts himself publically. I couldn't imagine how horrible he was at the office.
He's pretty dumb, it looks like he was making good money off Fez which looks like had a decent amount of fans. Canceling Fez 2 and leaving the industry over criticism is real silly.
