• Help Me Find a Monitor

I'm incredibly picky when it comes to monitors. I've been searching for one that would fit my needs, but I haven't found one yet. In a monitor, I would like: 5ms or less response time No built in speakers Low profile design No LED backlight (i'm not sure about this one. what are your opinions? is backlighting good or bad?) inbetween 21 and 27 inches My budget is pretty much $300 or less. If you guys can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

This means you have really good colours and viewing angles, which is a lot more noticeable in daily use compared to a few extra ms of response time.

I heard that a response time more than 5 gives you noticeable ghosting.
Aren't Asus monitors pretty good?
currently using a ve228h and i'm loving it. Wish i'd waited a bit and spent a little more on the ultrasharp listed above, but the one i have is a fantastic little monitor for the price. Build quality is great, i've owned 3 other asus monitors in the past and i've never had problems with things like stuck pixels, physical damage, etc. They're very solid (IMO) and flexible enough for me.
I can't notice any hertz above 85
if you are just staring at the screen comparing it i doubt you will notice it, but for instance if your playing a fast-paced game your eyes would slow-mo at certain times and you would notice a significant difference.
I'd recommend the Dell U2311H: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?cs=19&c=us&l=en&sku=320-9270 It's over $300 right now, but it goes on sale every other week.
There's an U2211H on sale for 168 euro here in Estonia, and an U2311H for for 179, oh god.
