Well, I have Windows 7 and recently certain programs have been acting up. As far as I know I didn't download anything to cause my problems, I have McAfee, so I would assume a virus isn't the problem. Anyway, onto the actual problem. Certain programs: WavePad, PSXfin, Project64, etc. have stopped saving or opening files. When I go to open or save, nothing happens. A similar problem happens on internet explorer where I can run downloaded files, but I cannot save them. I've scanned for viruses on McAfee and Malwarebtes, and I've run ccleaner and its registry fix option. So far nothing has worked. Any help/ideas? I'm thinking a file was corrupted somehow, but I have no idea how to find it.
