Accidentally changed Windows theme, custom themes don't work anymore

I had [url=http://solmiler.deviantart.com/art/Placebo-for-Windows-7-188414149]this theme[/url] (Angst) installed for about three months until yesterday. I wanted to change my desktop background to tile instead of stretch and I accidentally clicked on an Aero theme. Right afterwards I clicked on the theme I had before, but instead of changing to the theme, it turned to the Windows Classic theme.

I reinstalled the theme, went though all the processes to get custom themes working again, but nothing worked. I even tried another theme, but it always ended up looking like Windows Classic.

What happened and how can I fix this?

Why don't you pm SolMiler on deviantart? No one will know better then the guy who made it.

If you read the post, you would know that I tried other themes. None work.
