Remember http://www.escapemotions.com/experiments/flame/?
It's now a stand-alone program. There's some pictures at http://flame.escapemotions.com/ but since they're huge and I don't know how thumbnail, I'll let you go there yourself. There's also alot more info there regarding updates and terms of use.
Downside is, it costs 10 euro, or 12 dollars. Regardless, I'm gonna buy it someday. What about you?
Why buy it when I can do it online?

Support the author and there's alot more to the program than the web-based editor.
Holy hell, this thing is awesome. I might buy it specifically so I can use it to make desktop backgrounds for myself. :v:

oh hinting at warez, u so silly :allears:
Was looking in the gallery, some amazing shit in there. They should have a trial version of the program.
Just use Apophysis.
It was the original program anyway.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Apophysis generates "fractal flames".
Flame Painter is a program that lets you draw things that look kind of like they're made out of fire. It has absolutely nothing to do with fractals.

Apophysis can be used to draw flames, although I guess you would have to be really good at it. It's a really versatile program.

Have you used both programs? I don't see how you could draw any similarities between them.

Ones has a user friendly interface and one doesn't.

flame has a user friendly interface :crossarms:
Apo was cool, but the learning curve was steep at best.
