This is why you don't use a beta operating system for your main rig.
This is why you don't use a beta operating system for your main rig.
That is hardly useful, some of us have used windows 7 since the beta and haven't had any issues. I used to dual boot it but I don't even bother with XP anymore, I get far less issues than with XP. @ the op have you tried any other operating systems with your rig before now? It could just be some bad hardware.

So you signed up just to ask this question on Facepunch when you could have signed up on a proper tech forum?

Anyways, maybe the problem could be overheating, unless it doesn't happen in any other OS. Try monitoring temps with HWmonitor
@ Caps Lock well i decided why not give win 7 a shot it seemed to going fine with everyone else and it was look pretty stable. @Colonel_Veer yes i have i used win xp before, and it has some problems with this comp, for example locked up while playing movies, froze in gmod and had to restart etc, so i gave win 7 a shot it worked fine few issues here and there but it resolved itself later, but this i have no idea if its my drivers or hardware @CombineGuru i did sign up for the proper tech forum but they never sent a verification email, and it has been 4 days since i signed up, so i decided to come here because the forum seems to be full of computer gurus and skillful gamers and builders, and plus since it was a gmod related forum i came here. @djjkxbox im sure its not overheating the CPU is 29c idle and never goes above 40c under full load [editline]05:44PM[/editline]
@djjkxbox im sure its not overheating the CPU is 29c idle and never goes above 40c under full load
Update: I think i found what went wrong but can anyone decode for me im not very good with the codes Faulting application name: hl2.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x470c11ae Faulting module name: client.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4a69ef34 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0027334f Faulting process id: 0xf28 Faulting application start time: 0x01ca0ccf79a1c575 Faulting application path: c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\********\garrysmod\hl2.exe Faulting module path: c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\e**********\garrysmod\garrysmod\bin\client.dll Also i have serveral dmp files if u need them
