So i was making some spray for L4D - Css - Gmod - W/e. And then i wanted to add some nice outer glow, and when i came to make the alpha channel that makes the background transparrent, it apperently also made the "outer glow effect" transparrent. Any way to fix that?

don't know if it help's you
The problem he is having is to get transparency, he has to use the alpha channel.
The alpha channel just tells things what is see through and waht isn't... it shows us this as black for transperent, and white for not.
to get a glow effect... I think you are going to have to(in the alpha channel) shade from white to black only in the glow area to get the fading transparency..
but then again it's been a while since I have made sprays, and a while since I have worked directly on the alpha channel...
well then just get gimp :P you can make alpha channel's easy in that :P

well making an alpha channel in PS is easy too....
With whatever is glowing, just create a transparent layer underneath it and merge the glowing layer downwards with the transparent one, this will make the layer effect no longer an effect, and instead it will be an actual part of the image. Then just select the layer as you normally would.
