Yay?
R.I.P Win7?
I just bought Windows 7. :saddowns:
Can't say I'm a big fan of their new interface thing. I'll probably just stick with the classic interface or, if 8 doesn't have any major improvements, stick with 7 altogether.
Please tell me we can turn that off? It just seems to be some gimmicky bloatware that's not useful, just like the chunky buttons on Windows 7 which I turned off within 5 minutes.
Boo hoo I'm still using XP
Boo hoo I'm still using XP
Your post says Windows 7 :raise:
That's the tablet interface, it won't be default on a desktop but it might play some sort of role
Yeah and you can click the desktop tile in the bottom right of that image and it brings up a windows 7 like desktop interface.
That looks awful.
Guess it's time to upgrade from the ol' XP soon anyway
R.I.P Win7?
People still use Windows XP. So no.
why
Like that massive leak wasn't preview enough?
It started failing right there. That means total ignorance of any other browsers and deeply embeded Internet Explorer for everyone. IE is no web 2.0 browser. No html5, opacity or round borders and general custom style sheet fuck up. I will never use IE even if they make it impossible to use any other browser. It's a nightmare for webdevelopers.
Like that massive leak wasn't preview enough?
it wasn't a massive leak

Anyway, I doubt they won't let you change the browser, the EU would be all over their ass again.

I'm sure it's not tied to IE, but it's a no-brainer they're trying to promote it.
why don't they just update W7? noobs.
I really don't see what's wrong with Windows 7. Never understood why every OS updates to a completely new version every few years save to get more money. I mean, Windows 7 is only a couple years old and it works fine, why's there a big hurry to replace it?
why don't they just update W7? noobs.
I know right? Vista was poor performance, instead of fixing or updating it, they just build a new one after, Win7, and now Win8. Such a scam.
Fuck windows 8 windows 7 is perfectly fine and they still have much they can broaden upon with win7
Windows 7 is the most superior OS, I ain't fucking changing, I love Windows 7.

It looks and feels like a gimmicky piece of crap plastered over Windows 7, because that's what it is. I don't believe in this new Metro interface. Good for a tablet? I don't know. But it's definitely shitty when it comes to getting real work done on a real PC.
Maybe he's using XP on his main PC and Win7 on a laptop or something that he just browses the internet with.
Yep
You can swith to the normall desktop, I think it's a great combination. Microsoft has some big plans when it comes to tablets, they are capable of making every C#, XNa, VB, java, flash, application work, there is no tablet os that ever did this before

But still I won't code a additional version of my websites just to get it working for the IE.
