• Nvidia drivers keep failing and restarting

My drivers keeps failing, I'm using the ones recommended by my laptop manufacturer - 188.98 and I've tried the latest 260.99 (or something) and this keeps happening. Its stopping me from using photoshop CS5 and I can't play Minecraft because of it and Civ 5 gets some seriously fucked up graphics glitches (this one time Bismarck was black) and sometimes bluescreens. Any idea why this keeps happening and how I can fix it.
Backup and Restore
Backup and restore what?
PC
PC
Before acting like a dipshit, try to be A BIT more helpful then "backup and restore/format hurr" Things like that are mostly LAST RESORT solutions. Remember that next time. Anyways, your card could be dying then, if reinstalling drivers does nothing. Specs, please? You can download Piriform Speccy, take a screenshot of it and post it here with all your specs. Very recommended.

Still tedious and needless when there could possibly be an easier solution, or, needless because it COULD BE that it's not a software issue at all but a hardware issue. It would be just time wasted.
Are you sure you cleaned your drivers out well when you installed new ones? Uninstall your current drivers, use something like Driver Sweeper and then reinstall the recommended drivers. That might help.
I reinstalled the latest driver over the last one to see what would happen, and it seems to have fixed the crashing and restarting of the driver and gotten rid of the worst of the problems, but when I play minecraft I get something about Error code 2 and it has to close and Civ 5 still has some glitches.
Tried a fresh install with driver sweeper and stuff and no dice.
