So, as someone who recently picked up Siege myself... ...Why exactly has the game suddenly become so popular over the past few months anyway?
So, as someone who recently picked up Siege myself... ...Why exactly has the game suddenly become so popular over the past few months anyway?
the game is complex, punishing, and requires good teamwork. It's also just really fucking fun. The destruction is a unique twist to a typical 5v5 shooter and its maps can play out differently every time. Also when the game first came out it was riddled with bugs, issues, and a lackluster amount of operators. I'm glad this game came along when it did. It filled the void that Team Fortress 2 left a long time ago.
genuinely good support from the developers and an evangelical community at least thats what ive gathered
Yet this post has 13 thousand upvotes and 10 golds https://www.reddit.com/r/Rainbow6/comments/82jgwr/what_the_hell_ubisoft/ Say "reddit is trash" all you want but that's a lot of people, and there are legitimate problems they are deliberately making.
hey man im going off the general gist of things, a post from <24 hours ago that i didnt read doesnt change the fact that most of the hype around siege was due to people talking about good support/improvement
Not trying to bash you or anything, just informing you.
their marketing has exploded lately, tons of big streamers been playing it and advertising it, especially this new update

The devs probably couldn't avoid not putting generic lootbox trash into the game due to Ubisoft wanting it. This is probably the biggest reason why I still try and keep distance from praising Ubisoft to the fullest.
