I set up a media designated computer using old parts. The OS on the media pc is XP but, my main computer is Windows 7 so I can't just use homegroup. Any help? Thanks in advance!

If you're up for learning (and having a bit of fun, if you're interested in this stuff) perhaps take the time to setup a SAMBA server? It's a Linux server with the capability of hosting for Windows. It's nice and straightforward! Simply install Ubuntu server edition, then follow this quick guide: https://help.ubuntu.com/11.04/serverguide/C/samba-fileserver.html
I figured it out! Thanks for the help guys!
