"One of the world's great eco-tourism destinations is being deprived of its lifeline because someone at Facebook cannot comprehend that a booby is a bird," said Sam Collins, founder of Ethos Travel, according to Travel Daily News.
The Christmas Island Tourism Association told The Huffington Post in an email that Facebook rejected the ad because it violated the site's Ad Guidelines, which forbid the use of ad copy deemed "offensive, profane, vulgar, obscene, libelous, slanderous or unlawful."
"Facebook does not accept ads that insult, harass or demean users," Facebook told the Christmas Island Tourism Association. "[L]anguage that addresses age, gender, race, physical condition, sexual preference of a user or generates high negative feedback will not be allowed."
In a statement sent to The Huffington Post, Facebook spokesman Tim Rathschmidt explained that "the advertiser crossed the threshold we are comfortable with by using language such as 'juvenile boobies.' Even if the subject is about birds they are using unacceptable language, and we are therefore not reactivating these ads. ... Ads may not position products or services in a sexually suggestive manner."
Czech slang for boobs is "goats". It leaves plenty of space for puns as well.
Although "I want to fuck your goats" gets dangerously questionable.

Face between the cheeks of another person. See, y' got the face, and then you have the ass-halves that are like the cover of the book!
And then you get creative with the term "Like".
Nothing like a bit of bush...

So many shit jokes
Odd how they'll ban this in an instant and refuse to revoke it, but death threats... Nah, how does a death threat even come close to a bird called a Booby?
I've seen shock images on Facebook--scat and mutilated dicks--and when reported they decide they're perfectly fine.
But this...?
How bout a clit

Reported a video of witch hunters in Africa burning people alive... but apparently that doesn't go against their guidelines.
But juvenile boobies? Disgusting. Ban it.

fucking this, I have seen so much grotesque shit but because "1 like = 1 prayer" bullsdhit
This right here is Western censorship in a nutshell. There's a big fuss about protecting kids from anything sexual and violent, which just leaves them ignorant of these subjects until they decide to rebel and look it up themselves. The internet has pretty much obliterated any point to censorship anyways, since if a kid or teen wants to see sexual shit or violence/death, they can just type it into a search engine and get it right then and there. Plus, parents telling their kids "No, you can't see this because I say it's bad and you get no further explanation" just leads to the kids rebelling and learning about these things themselves, which is actually worse for them than just discussing it with their parents.
A lot of the shit people fuss about regarding kids learning "too soon" about violence, death and sex could be resolved much better than it is now by just letting the knowledge of its existence enter their lives whenever it did naturally, then explaining any unclear or bad elements to them. Your kid learns to say "fuck" from television or the internet? Sit them down, talk to them, and teach them what it means, why it's bad, and why it's not a good idea to say it most of the time.
Most kids are a lot smarter than people give them credit for, and they'd understand decently well if people bothered to explain the more unsavory elements of life to them when necessary, rather than treating these things like unspeakable (and thus tempting) evil.
The whole idea of "protecting their innocence" is a crock of shit, since the darker aspects of life can and will force their way into your kid's life eventually. Be it the death of a family member, an accidental interruption of sexy time, or the neighbor kid getting just a bit too violent, the evils of life will always creep in and make themselves known at some point. If you pretend they don't exist or try to cover them up, all you're doing is leaving your kid confused and uninformed when the shit hits the fan and ricochets right into their precious little face. If you take the time to educate them properly when said shit finds a way in, or when you feel they're old enough to understand, and without trying to hide it, they'll be far better off and more knowledgeable about how to avoid slipping into the pitfalls of life.
I'm thoroughly convinced that the majority of the perceived problems with this generation are a result of the newly fired-up battle between censorship and young rebellion that's arisen thanks to the internet. Of course, this rebellion against censorship has always been happening on some level, but the internet and all of the knowledge and power it puts at the fingertips of anyone with a working computer make learning what people don't want you to know infinitely easier. People say kids are getting ruder and less respectful, when in reality they're flipping the middle finger to censorship and anything they think is similarly bullshit or made up, such as common cultural manners. Thanks to the internet, a lot of people are learning about the seedier side of life despite censorship attempts, and it's having both good and bad effects on the attitudes/outlooks of kids.
In short, all censorship does is encourage kids to rebel and look up shit they might misinterpret or fail to understand properly, which can open up a whole nasty can of worms. If people just accepted that the shitty parts of life can and will barge in, without covering them up and with taking the time to educate their kids when said shit made itself known, kids in general would be much better off.
