The police said the resident of Sector 46, Gurgaon had purchased a Honda Mobilio about six months ago and as a matter of routine he used to hide the Rs. 900 phone in silent mode in his car. To keep the phone in working order, the man used to charge it every third day.
Why does the article say he 'used to' do this, as if he no longer does, when the article is about what he just did?
Well, they sell devices which fulfill practically this exact same functionality and you don't have to keep recharging them but they are probably quite a bit more expensive than a cheap phone. He could have still selected a phone with a much longer battery life.
Oh god I used to live in Sector 23-A across from Ansal Plaza, and I am honestly surprised he didn't get cut / stabbed or his head bashed in with a brick. Also 32'nd Milestone on the NH8 is pretty much a rogues gathering
Rate me dumb, but a city divided and named in sectors sounds kinda like a dystopic future
not sure about in india but here in America cities have wards (which is basically a voting district) and particularly bad areas are sometimes referred to by their ward name, a famous example being the lower ninth ward in New Orleans. It's probably the same sort of thing
Is this really news? Isn't this basically a GPS car tracking system that doesn't work as well?
So he has a shit tracking unit? really innovative move there
He has to charge it every third day? I mean, that's really cool for him, but given that it's more likely than not that my car is never going to be stolen, I don't think it's worth the effort. Maybe I'm lazy.

A couple minutes work and then he'd never have to worry about manually charging it again.
Rate me dumb, but a city divided and named in sectors sounds kinda like a dystopic future
paris, london, etc
Rate me dumb, but a city divided and named in sectors sounds kinda like a dystopic future
First thing I thought of
I guess that works, but I'd really prefer some sort of ejector seat.
I guess that works, but I'd really prefer some sort of ejector seat.
Now I want machine-guns hidden behind the headlights. And wheel-hub spikes.
Now I want machine-guns hidden behind the headlights. And wheel-hub spikes.
don't make it easier for the car thief to get away, man
with this new innovation in car theft prevention, you can now steal a car and a phone at the same time
Now I want machine-guns hidden behind the headlights. And wheel-hub spikes.
Bulletproof/spikeproof tires too. And don't forget Turbo Boost that you can only conveniently use once per episode.
Rate me dumb, but a city divided and named in sectors sounds kinda like a dystopic future
Welcome! Welcome to Sector 23-A! It's safer here... ...Or not.
Rate me dumb, but a city divided and named in sectors sounds kinda like a dystopic future
I lived in Gurgaon and the greater Delhi area just two months ago. Can confirm: it's a total dystopia.
