Three hours and fifty-four minutes of grueling back-and-forth drama. For a good while during the NFC Championship Game Sunday evening, you wondered if each end zone was a country mile away from each team's offense. On NFL Network
"NFL Replay" will re-air theGiants' victory over the Patriotsin Super Bowl XLII on Monday, Jan. 23 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

There was some great defensive football played on the Candlestick grass, as well as clutch offense when the Giants had to have it. But ultimately, it was special teams -- specifically two botched punt returns by San Francisco's Kyle Williams -- that decided the game in New York's favor. Ironically, New England also prevailed after a stunning special teams miscue by its opponent: Baltimore's Billy Cundiff missed a 32-yard field-goal attempt with 11 seconds remaining that would've tied the game. When the Giants and Patriots face off in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI, look for the margin of error to be just as small. These clubs played a 24-20 nail-biter back in early November and, of course, faced off in one of the most memorable Super Bowls ever four years ago. (The Giants won both games.) Seems like these two sides could be on a collision course for another classic title bout
go gnats
My parents think the Patriots are cheaters :v:
Their reasoning is that:
They only won games around 9/11 was because OF 9/11, and they were so "patriotic" because of their name and colors n shit or something like that and apparently some stuff happened that they shoulda got busted for and they got away with it because who would bust such a patriotic team at the time of american turmoil??? :downs:
I'm not really sure, don't care much about football and it was a couple of months ago when they told me why they thought that so I don't remember anything :v:
can someone who possibly knows more clarify for me?
Edit: Clarified
The patriots got caught recording the jets signals in 2011
[editline]23rd January 2012[/editline]
also, this year right after the broncos made it into the playoffs, they looopholed their way through the league unquestioned and hired the broncos previous coach as one of their coaches
[editline]23rd January 2012[/editline]
also, they lie on the injury reports
Did someone say Eli?

patriots won tonight because the kicker for the ravens fucked up so badly with the field goal that his team mates were on their knees and crying

My parents dislike the Ravens more (We live in Ohio, the Bengals are our team and apparently the Ravens were the old Browns??) and we ended up having to root for the Patriots...
It was hilarious when that guy missed.
You could see someone on the Ravens' team mouthing the words "oh my god..." on the slow mo replays
Classic
Pats will win.
that picture makes it look like they both just raped him and walked away
figuratively I'm not surprised if that's what happened

Chargers
I don't like blue, so Giants must lose
lolsports
Whoever wins, what difference does it make?
Looking forward to the commercials.
I'm just glad we don't have to deal with Tebow being a douchebag during the superbowl. So glad the Broncos didn't make it.
I wanted ravens and niners, damnit. I never should have turned on the TV today.

And I want a football for us Hawaii :(
Looking forward to the commercials.
Is it wrong that that's the main reason I watch the Superbowl?
Is it wrong that that's the main reason I watch the Superbowl?
I couldn't care less about the actual game, I'm just watching for funny commercials and exclusive movie trailers/TV spots :v:
I wonder if there will be a new movie trailer for Prometheus or something
So let me get this straight, its red white and blue vs. blue.
Oh well, Eli all the way.
Still pissed the Saints lost to the 49ers. Oh well, if nothing else the commercials will be interesting as fuck this year.
So glad the 49'ers didn't make it. Asshole team and coach.

As opposed to the Patriots?
Watching the cheats get beaten in Indy will be most enjoyable.
Torrey Smith went to my highschool, we were all rooting for the ravens more or less because we wanted to see him in the super bowl. Quite a shame really, would have been amazing to see someone I went to school with in it.
The way the Giants D-line has been playing, I'm looking forward to Brady getting fucked up.
