I have Uplink that I bought from steam, but whenever I just try and use the exe to start it up, it says "steam.dll was not found". Is there any legal way to bypass this? I want to play it on a diffferent comp...
You'd have to rebuy it off the site unless you want to use a crack.

why would you want to play a game where you pretend to be a hacker though
Seeing as you bought it legally, there excists a program called "SteamBuster"
It requires you to have the .gcf files, and you can only play games in singleplayer, but seeing as you have no internet I don't think it matters to you.

Have you even played it? Uplink's amazing.
Couldn't you just download steam? :raise:

Not if he wants to play it independently from steam, which I for example like to do with my introversion games. It's not really that stupid.
Or if he's using linux. Linux doesn't really run steam that well, so you'd prefer to run the game independently.

No, I haven't played it. Sorry.
Just get Onlink it has many more features and doesn't need Uplink.
