The attack in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province is the first to be claimed by the Saudi branch of IS, which was formally established last November. The claim was posted on Twitter with an image of the bomber by an account that is a reliable source on the group. IS has previously threatened to attack Shia Muslims in Saudi Arabia.
This is really sad. So many lives lost and for what?
Even though its sad that this happen. I find it funny since Saudi Arabia has been known to fund Terrorists groups, but now we see that the groups that they were once funding are on their door step.

They're not your buddies.
I can imagine Saudi Arabia cracking down hard on their domestic terrorist issue. They don't fuck around when it comes to their national security.
They're probably thinking it'll get the moderates to rise up [t]http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0bY1CRWNThU/UUYyqZCAJHI/AAAAAAAAALA/KaOiVNRqX_0/s1600/barry.png[/t]
I can imagine Saudi Arabia cracking down hard on their domestic terrorist issue. Splendid
The fact that they targetted a place of worship is just low, even for IS. You'd think they'd respect the nature of a mosque given they're die-hard religious fanatics.

Come on, really? I thought it'd be pretty obvious that they'd essentially want to make a beeline for Mecca, probably so they can demolish it.

They done fuck up good this time.
Come on, really?
they're extremists for their religion, yet don't follow one of it's key elements
Extremists rarely do, especially of the religious variety

Shias are minotity in SA and face severe discrimination. Iran is a Shia country so they back up shias in SA and even tried to overthrow Sunni royal SA government. Since SA and Iran's proxy war intensed in last couple of month I don't think SA government didn't know about yhis attack.
I remember reading somewhere that this is one of their long term goals actually because they consider the Kaaba to be an idol or something.
If they blew up the Kaaba they would lose most of their supporters and fighters. The only people that would be fighting for them left would be edgy 20-something converts who think that they're handing Assad a new one.
