EDIT
Edited OP to make it easier.
You got a pretty wide budget, does it include a monitor, Keyboard and Mouse?
320gb is not really large for Hard Drive space any more. You could get a good 1tb drive for like £70 from www.overclockers.com
320GB is fine for me.

i5, a great mobo (that supports Crossfire for expandability), 4GB DDR3, and a 5870 for approx £870 inc. shipping (HDD and Optical not included, allow £60 for HDD and £15 for optical). You can probably do better on eBuyer or Scan, I just use OCUK because I'm familiarized with the site layout.
