• Best equipment to listen to Dubstep in a room?

Would I need like subwoofers etc? I'm oblivious to what I really need.
Rubber bands, wire, some skill at winding the rubber bands together and some epoxy resin would probably be good. What you do is you create a subwoofer from the rubber bands (which you tightly weave to create the diaphragm) then epoxy that shit for strength. Or yeah buying high quality subs or the like would help. Or high quality headphones like Grado SR80's, I'm using them just now to listen to Excision and Eprom and they're fucking grorius.
If you mean for a party you need good subwoofers. Otherwise use good headphones if you're by yourself.
good headphones, monitors can't really do it justice
Either good headphones, or a big-ass subwoofer. Best results, get a decent hi-fi system that includes a subwoofer.
I have some 5.1 Logitech set that works great with Dubstep. Anything above $50 or so with a sub should do you fine
If you buy headphones to listen to bass heavy dance music I will laugh at you.
dubstep is more like stoned as fuck music than dance music
I say 8-inch subwoofers work best. Just go get around 2 or 4 of them.
Depends on your budget really. I have these and the sound quality is really nice, the subwoofer also vibrates the floor throughout my entire house when I turn the bass up full.
dubstep is more like stoned as fuck music than dance music
Dubstep is complete dancefloor music. Have you never been to a show?
I have but I was stoned as fuck and only kinda halfway dancing
ipod headphones

the equipment you need is a gun and a bullet and your own head for listening to dubstep
The equipment you need is fuck off.

That's small as fuck, buy like an $11,000 surround sound system like me. It's goes loud as fuck and sounds awesome. [editline]23rd April 2011[/editline] ($11,000 total, like including my big ass sub woofer, like $2,000 amp, speakers, and everything else.)

For a 5.1 system, I wouldn't spend over 3-4K total. Doubt after that much money that 99.99% of people could spot the difference for more through a blinded test.
Meh, it's still pretty awesome.
I, too enjoy burning money on things that give me no tangible benefit.
thats not something to brag about. thats pathetic you could buy something much more worthwhile, like a car
I think what he means is "buy an $11,000 surround sound system like my parents did for me"
That reminds me I still haven't ordered my stainless steel wallet, thank you sir.
but then it won't be able to bulge from the sheer amount of notes and pennies [editline]24th April 2011[/editline] unless you mean a safe

If it makes you happy and you have the money for it it's not a waste of money. Who are you to tell other people what to do with their money? lol...
they're voicing their opinions
