Okay this mod is just awful. I just played it for a bit and I couldn't tell what the fuck was going on. The player animations look just horrible, they should have just used the HL2 anims, in order to avoid those "monsters", you have turn off your flashlight, making it impossible to see anything and making you move very slow and even then, those things might get near you and then you'll just instantly die.
I do not get this mod at all.
Sorta like that one game, Penumbra.
Except failing to be creepy really, I blame the poor zombie animations and the rather bland maps.
Not that I could do better mind you.

Silent Hill is in 3rd person and there issome mixed view angles and you know what? It's one of the most scariest video game series ever.
Apart from the lack of explanations of what's going on, it actually looks kinda interesting. I'll look up some more reviews first before I DL it, though...

Just play the damn thing, it starts poorly, but gets better later. Also set (mouse) sensivity to 5, or something for better experience, since you can't strafe. You can also change camera options using "cam_" commands. I beat it last night, I thought it was pretty good, apart from frustating controls, and cheap animations, but it's okay.
