My brother wants to build a gaming PC with a budget of around £800 to £1000. We've established that he wants a GTX 970 and a case with dumb blue LEDs but everything else is pretty much up in the air, he doesn't want fancy bells and whistles, just a good PC that will be able to play most games on max for the next few years. Any advice on a monitor and speakers would be welcome too.
