For a 5 year old game, Counter Strike is still doing really well. I doubt there are any other old games doing as well.

Oh and the original Counter Strike is still doing amazing for a [i]10 year old[/i] game, so I don't think these stats matter really.

World of Warcraft is also doing pretty well still unfortunately.
Not really the game is still pretty new but then people will get bored.
Also, this wont hold very long. It's only populated because it's a new game.
Will be interesting to see if it falls. I mean, Steam's stats are for all the PC copies, so we'll have to see if that makes a difference.
zips is a nub. CS:S peak players was 10,000 higher than modern warfare 2
MW2 is only rising fast because of the over hyped game it is. And CS is 10 Years old CSS is about 5 years old, and still players play it, In 10 years i see no one playing COD4 or MW2

Incredible considering how terrible MW2's multiplayer is.
It's nonstop airstrikes and heli strikes all the fucking time, I can get at most 2 kills before dying, respawning, and dying again every 5 minutes.

MW2's multiplayer is addicting as hell.

Sadly I don't even play counter strike anymore. It's just broken now. Nothing in game functions properly (Guns mostly) not too mention the gay community with their stupid mods which I fucking hate with a passion pretty much took over it, and then their stupid bot servers.I gave up on counter strike 2 years ago. But I do miss it. I don't really like source that much, it's just not as awesome and fun as the first game.
God dammit the maps the community made for the game :( THE MAPS!

For me it was HEY THIS LOOKS PROMISING and every time they released new info they killed the part of me that wanted to buy it.
