[quote]As Warner Bros. unveils each of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II character posters, the franchise’s cast members are finishing production on the final installment of J.K. Rowling’s beloved series. Like Alan Rickman, who after embodying Severus Snape for a decade — and watching his castmates Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson mature before his very eyes — typed up a touching farewell letter to J.K. Rowling and published it in Empire Magazine. Read his lovely sentiments below.

Shame J.K Rowling is a bitch.
I like how the quote there just forgets that Rupert Grint exists.
Ten points from Gryffindor. :unsmith:
Wow. That guy's more invested in those films than i thought. Then again, it WAS 10½ years and we already knew how the LOTR crew felt after just 2 years.

Shame you don't know what you're talking about. Did she slap you once or something?
I'm gonna miss waiting forever to see the next Harry Potter film, can't imagine what it'd be like to have been actually working on them and stuff for all those years :saddowns:
Wingardiumleviousa.. :(
It almost made my cry...
It's gonna feel really weird to cease sitting and waiting for the next book or film to come out. The younger audience has grown up with it, just like the actors.
:saddowns:
I always enjoyed watching Harry Potter movies.
Each year my dad and I (and sometimes my sister) went to the movie theater to watch the new movie that had just come out. It became an annual thing.
I think I'll miss that just as much as most of us. :unsmith:
It's really weird to think back to the first movie and how young daniel radcliffe was compared to now. Didn't realise that much time had passed until i read this. They were some awesome books and movies, shame to see it end.
I wonder if the cast of the Harry Potter movies wished that the magic, Hogwarts, the people and all that in the movies, were real...

With their ridiculous sums of money, it is real.
Never understood the success of Harry Potter, the writing and story were average at best, mediocre as a norm and bad occasionally. There are so many other writers out there who manage greater literary skill than Rowling and who deserve more acclaim for their efforts, but simply do not recieve it.
It boggles the mind.
Wasn't really that touching.

It's because it's a kids book.

It's "levi-OH-sa" not "levi-oh-SAR"
Really now.
I only read the first 3 books and really never had the inkling to read any more when I was in elementary school.
So, I've never really understood all the hype. As Children's books go, I thought the Series of Unfortunate Events did it better overall.
It wasn't touching at all.
It actually comes to surprise that maybe, just maybe these insanely rich people may care about someone else other than themselves.

It's not about literary talent, it's about connecting with your audience... and Rowling done that in a way that hadn't been seen for decades.

Yes, because when you come into money you instantly become a giant cock who feels absolutely no compassion for other people.

The climax of the first book was that the stone magically fell into his pocket. It was two fucking lines.

You say that with varying amounts of ignorance.
In a longer version, LOTS AND LOTS of people are lost to greed, they become snobby selfish freaks, maybe I just have an underlying deep seated problem when my dad walked out on us for a high classed whore and ran off with my mothers side of the money, as a child... A SMALL CHILD, I thought the fucking world of my dad.
I saw him in later years though, but I have and never will forgive him for what he did to us.
You wouldn't have known that ( and that's the ignorance on my side of that comment), but I've seen it when people lose compassion for other people and only think about themselves and their own needs.

Time seems to go so fast, yet so slow at times.
