CPU Heating up like a motherfucker- Need assistance.

I my computer shuts down randomly. So, this only was a problem for me playing Dota 2, but then it started to happen to my other games like League of Legends and even Minecraft. Sometimes even just after I reboot my computer, it shuts off (usually after I reboot from when the computer shut down on its own). Flubadoo was kind enough to help me a little bit through troubleshooting and I'm fairly certain it's a CPU over heating problem.
When I ran BIOS/ CMOS, I let it sit for a while but then it hit 113 degrees celcius and stayed there for a while, eventually, it dropped a few degrees.
My Cpu is an AMD Phenom II X4 945. I have 4 GB of DDR3 RAM. and my GPU is an ATI Radeon HD 5750

What should I dooooo?
Is the cooler properly attached?
Get some thermal paste and clean the cooler, reapply the paste etc.
Also your GPU is a bit hot too.
My sound card is a bit too close to the GPU, I put the sound card in a different slot and that helped the air intake to the GPU and lowered the temps a bit.
Make sure that the heatsinks are free of dust.
