I usually use Sony Vegas but I recently got Adobe After Effects and this is my 2nd video I have made in it. Rate it and tell me what needs improving.
Fucking. Beautiful. :neckbeard: Although it wouldn't matter in a more... Explosion-Prone Environment, I could see a small glimmer in the middle of the driveway before the explosion. It is so miniscule that, like I said, it wouldn't matter. I just have really good eyes for these kinds of things.

I accept constructive criticism but why so harsh? It is my 2nd video I have ever made in after effects and no I did not color correct it but now I do. As for where the explosion came from, it didn't come from anywhere. It was just a simple explosion test that I made to improve in after effects.
It's not harsh
His points are valid but 0/10 seems like a rage rating. More like 2/10 or so.

All of the foreground elements come from Video Copilot's Action Essentials 2.
Correct but for my SECOND video in after effects I think I deserve more than 0/10.
Wrong, If your shooting for a 6/10 or a 8/10 on your second video than your really have set your standards low. Your first videos will suck, but you have to start somewhere. Just keep practicing with various layers and adjusting small details. Creating a realistic explosions takes time and effort, and for this video you most likely just threw a few pre-made effects together on a simple background. Even the title screen seemed like something you just threw together in a few minutes. That kind of effort earns you a 0/10, because most likely anybody can accomplish creating a video such as yours. onox37 is just trying to help. Listen to what he said, it's people like him who are going to help you improve. The more harsh constructive criticism people give, the better. Just keep at it! :h:
