• A Google section might be good

I was wondering since we have a Windows, Mac and Linux section that maybe we should have a Google section, Because google have been making some hardware like the ones with android OS and have many useful applications to discus including beta's and Android Apps and along with that App development threads. And of course upcoming hardware, Google is quickly introducing new affordable yet powerful tablets and PDA's. And then there's also the Google Chrome OS which although build on Linux could still be good in its own section. Android is sexy. [editline]01:58PM[/editline] I say yes.
AGREE! :) It would be good.
Yes please make a Google section, that would be great.
And we can discuss rediculous search suggestions!
Thats rediculous, it would be empty with like 10 threads. asking to search something.
I don't see the need. As great as Google is, it doesn't have enough discussion to have a section on it's own. Maybe an Android specific forum, but Google itself doesn't need one. Eventually I suppose as Google moves on to even other markets (tablets and tv) it might have enough to discuss.
Idk it always seems like there is constant news things on google. Does every one deserver a thread idk. What I think would be better would just be a mega thread and then threads for things like google voice and other beta programs.
I remember back in my day when google was just an search engine.
I remember back in my day when google was just an search engine.
In your days they just found out what fire is. I agree on the Google section though.

I'd say there's more than enough to talk about.
Yes we need one for sure.

C'mon mods (or Garry) add the section!
"some hardware like the android" Android is hardware how?
only if they change Windows to Microsoft and Linux to *nix
I honestly don't see the use.
only if they change Windows to Microsoft and Linux to *nix
This.
Google makes fantastic things.

I say do it Then make Hexxeh the mod, since he knows more about the OS than anyone
I say do it Then make Hexxeh the mod, since he knows more about the OS than anyone
He knows the most about chromium OS, sure, but that doesn't mean he knows how Android works, or how Google Earth works
I got my Eken M001, Would be nice to have a google section so me and the other user on Facepunch that got it can discuss. And maybe some other Facepunch users could get an Eken M001.
I wouldn't do it just yet...
Eventually I suppose as Google moves on to even other markets (tablets and tv) it might have enough to discuss.
Once google is bigger though it would be a great idea.
Unless several mega-threads pertaining to the section desired exist, and have gone through multiple revisions, I fail to see a reason why we'd need one. i.e. Android Megathreads, "Wacky-Google-Search" Megathreads, GoogleTv Megathreads, Chrome Megathread, etc. If you'd like a google sub-forum, I suggest starting with those ideas. We need a reason. I don't really consider 6 to be a number large enough to entail the introduction of a new section; but it is something to keep in mind as development picks up. Of the threads shown above, the greatest in length is Android Apps, with a total of three pages. Certainly not nothing, but not enough yet. [editline]06:19PM[/editline] Oh, and that's not counting the thread here. But I'm pretty sure you all know about it, given you're reading it.
When new sections are made they fill up quite quickly with threads, for instance Just cause 2 had only that one mega thread but its section got filled up quite fast.

I'm waiting for either the apad E7002 or Gpad G10 to be available, then I will get those.

Both parts.
