LAKE MARY, Fla. —George Zimmerman was involved in a shooting incident in Lake Mary on Monday afternoon, according to Lake Mary Police Chief Steve Bracknell.
The shooting involved two men and happened on Lake Mary Boulevard, police said.
Officers at the scene said it appeared Zimmerman suffered a minor gunshot wound, Bracknell said.
“He walked normally into the ambulance, so he wasn’t being helped or nothing,” said witness Ricardo Berrare.
Chopper 2 video showed a bullet hole in the passenger window the vehicle Zimmerman was in.
Why are people still covering this guy?
he shot a black person and now all of a sudden he's a celebrity
stop covering him, you're only making the media stay on his ass. Just leave him alone.

There is litterally a live stream of his truck being put on a tow truck right now.
Holy shit do these news stations have anything better to do.

He's probably being covered since he's a well know figure in the public, who was just shot in the face.
Seriously this is the first time I've heard about the dude in months.

he's being covered because gullible people keep clicking articles about him eating a hotdog
he's being covered because gullible people keep clicking articles about him eating a hotdog
There seems to be a pretty wide gap between eating a hot dog and being shot in the face. But who knows, that might be just me
If you don't want to read the article then don't fucking click on it. Whining isn't going to do anything
Can't simmer the Zimmer.

I mean, I don't even have a response to this beyond posting the relevant piece I've already stated:
He's probably being covered since he's a well know figure in the public, who was just shot in the face.
It's the same reason OJ Simpson comes up every now and again, he's a well known figure to the public who is controversial, controversy generated views, views generate moolah.

it was a joke, since there are so many people who actually get covered on that stuff. Fox news covered Obama buying mustard for his burger, because people are so obsessed with celebrities (this includes non-important ones) that they just have to know when they take a shit or sniffle
Title made me think he was dead, but misleading

Because the Trevon case made him extremely famous.
Excessive use of force by policemen is a very popular topic in society at the moment, so naturally there would be people who are interested in someone who became renowned because of it.

Dude legit just got shot in the face, and there's a good chance it was explicitly because of who he was (take that as you will though). That's substantial, and I'll never understand how people are pulling "LEAVE BRITNEY ALOOOONE" shit in the face of relevant news. He's no longer a hot topic news icon, but this isn't a tabloid reporting on him cheating on his diet

"You'll never guess who's filing for divorce!"
At least a few thousand couples who made a poor life decision, whoopty-fucking-doo.
Hey look my home town is on the news! Helicopter is 2 streets over from my house and its very loud,im not surprised in the slightest he got shot while driving everyone here knows who he is or knows him and he has pretty intense road rage, it was only a matter of time before he pissed off someone with a gun who knew who he was.
It sounds like it happened over a confrontation from driving. Wonder if the guy who shot him was acting out of self defenseman, wouldn't that be something.
Controversial dude in a controversial trial was controversially shot in the face because of said controversy.
Seems news worthy to me. I only take issue with reporting on these people when you feel the need to report when they so much as make a bowel movement. Or if they fart in an elevator with a bunch of people.

Well it would not surprise me dudes a massive asshole.

Well that's presumptuous as fuck but okay.

Well you see its simple people with guns want him dead, zimmer has road rage perma on and it was only a matter of time before one of the people who wanted him dead shot him once they saw the person who is being a aggressive driver is the object of there hatred.

I am not saying its what happened simply its very plausible.

Quoted is the part where you literally said that's what happened.

Poor writing on my part then my bad. I just think its the very likely is all.

I agree with this post in all of its entirety. Media outlets just love documenting his every move, waiting to blow another incident out of proportion to damage this guy's reputation even further. It's disgusting.
Feel bad for Zimmerman, he is never going to be left alone after what happened.
Looks like Zimmerman previously threatened the life of the guy who shot him here.
Dude clearly has anger problems and needs some therapy
jesus did nobody read the article he wasn't shot in the face he was hit by glass from the window shattering and received minor injuries
Zimmerman was hit in the face with glass and debris and has since been released from Central Florida Regional Hospital, according to police.
I think she might just be making a joke of how big of a deal people are making it.
From what I read in the article, it seems that this was an unprovoked attack and that Apperson actually followed him flashing his lights behind him, did a u-turn to follow him then shot through his window, and is now claiming self defense? Dudes tryna weasel his way out of it. Anyone that was in a self-defence scenario isn't just gonna gloat afterwards to strangers saying "I just shot zimmerman"
