How many of you have been kind enough souls to donate the very essence of life?
-inb4spermdonation-
Tell us your experiences if you did, if not. Tell us why you won't
Today i donated for the first time, sitting in that damn recliner had me nervous as hell, as soon as the needle went in it didn't hurt as much as i thought it would, later on i just sat there squeezing the damn Red Cross hand...thing once every 5 seconds, i soon kinda zoned out and forgot the needle was even inside. Long story short, needles hurt a little but don't be scared. I know I'll be donating next year again
Blood: it's in you to circulate.
I think I gave blood when I got hit by a car and already had a bunch of IV tubes in me and shit, so I didn't really care.
I Havent, but a blood test wasted me, so I might not.

Learn to share, nigga.

Don't tell me what to do with my body, mother!
Blood: It's in you to live.
In all honesty... I would, but I am not an acceptable candidate... Not sure how the karma dice roll on this one.
Undeserving wretch! My blood is my own!

I'm making you an organ donor.
Ontopic: Never donated, plan to though.
No it's mine
I have O Type blood but I've never donated blood. Reason? Not sure why. I guess you can say I am afraid of needles.
You can get paid for donating Plasma and rare blood types. :20bux:
20 bucks sounds like a rip.
Can't. I've Hep B core antibodies, which means I can NEVER EVER EVER... EVER give blood. ever.

except to myself
I've been encouraged multiple times to give blood because I'm AB-, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I've never heard about that before. I don't think they do that here in Australia. We usually only get a free coffee/tea :(
Thought about it. I just hate the needles they use to take blood. They seem much bigger than the others.
Giving blood is a great way to seriously save someone's life in a very direct way. Makes me feel good about myself, especially since I'm O+.
I've given a good handful of times, and only had one problem. A hematoma on the arm I was giving from. Basically a large, extramuscular bruise where the needle damaged a blood vessel. But I was okay and finished giving fine.
No mudbloods deserve my pure blood
I didn't even know you could be scared of needles until a while ago. I was like really WTF
Giving blood is totally radical. It doesn't hurt badly at all and the nurses treat you like some kind of hero when you're done what with all the free little cookies and V8 juices.
Of course one time I was giving blood at college, and on a nearby table a fellow student began to seize. She turned all grey and they wrapped one of those shiney thermal blankets around her and they stopped everyone else's donations.
Other than that everything was peachy grapes.
I would, but I don't even know my blood type.
They don't allow faggots to donate blood, so I say they don't deserve mine anyway.
My mum donated blood, however she also found out during the session that she had an iorn deficiency. Useful, I guess.

Wow, that's still in effect? I was under the impression that AIDS wasn't quite so common these days.
I want to get totally high off my mind RIGHT before I give blood so the person who gets my blood gets feeling good during a bad time. Or he could overdose on opiates considering he'd probably already be receiving some if he's getting my blood.
but hey, it's the thought that counts.
Wow, that's still in effect? I was under the impression that AIDS wasn't quite so common these days.
There's still a question that asks if you are male and ever had sex with another male. If you answer yes, it's an automatic disqualification. It was extremely embarrassing, since I went in with other friends, but also highly insulting.
The question does not count for females, only males, by the way.

I was under the impression that they tested blood for AIDS and the like
I was under the impression that they tested blood for AIDS and the like
They do, actually.
There is nowhere we can donate blood where I live.
I've thought about it.
Also, the donor buss that visits every now and then has a habbit of doing it at the worst times possible.
I've donated blood. It was pretty cool. They make you feel like a hero.
To people scared of the needles: You don't have to look at the needle if you don't want to.
They even asked me if I want to look at it since I was a first timer. Also, you only feel something when they push the needle in, otherwise it's painless.
I would, but I don't even know my blood type.
That's not a reason. I didn't know my type either and I donated.
