Can way to many headrushes be bad for you? Like I get tons each and everyday for the past...well, I don't really reamber when I've been getting them daily but it has been a while. It's pretty much everytime I get up. Most of them last for just about 5-10 seconds. But others can be really bad, I go blind and get dazed for quite a while and a few times I even blacked out and fell down. When I get one, everything just becomes extreamly blurry and I just have to lean up against something and close my eyes and wait for it to go away. And it's been worrying me since I get so many a day, I have to say I get about, maybe I guess 15 a day? More or less. So I come to ask Doctors of facepunch, can to many harm me? Or cause brain damage?
Yeah, um, I would say that's not good for you. http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-head-rush.htm
you gonna die son no seriously go to a doctor that ain't normal
Go ask your doctor. I suggest standing up slowly after sitting down or getting up slowly when you wake up.
not an internet doctor a real doctor automerge damnit
If we're thinking of the same thing (sudden light-headedness, extreme feeling of relaxation) then I don't know why you'd want them to stop yep same thing
Whats a headrush?
ask yahoo
you have a tumor :banjo:
Drink coffee in the mornings. I had the problem and the caffiene raised my blood pressure i guess
vertigo
Same here, i've passed out a few times.:psyduck:
When you stand up from when you sit down/lay down, do it slowly. But opening discussion on head rushes.. Have any of you guys had one so bad that it lasted for at least a full minute?
On a serious note, you could a tumor.
I really hope it's not a tumor I don't want one. I will try and go to my doctor ASAP but till then, any tips to try and either ease the headrushes or stop them? I know one of them is to get up slower but I don't even get up that fast either
I get them too. A few people I know do. Though not non-stop.
Low blood pressure probably. Go to a drug store or doctor and check your blood pressure. [editline]05:21AM[/editline]
Whats a headrush?
When you stand up, and all the blood rushes out of your head, your vision goes fuzzy, and you get very dizzy and tired.
This could be caused for a lot of things. Anemia is one of them, Make sure you have a good diet.
I get these too, but maybe like once a day. If that.
I get these after sitting down for a long time and then standing up. It's like a sharp pain in your head and you feel all dizzy.
OP - This happens to me all the time. I'm pretty sure it's just because standing up quickly causes you to unequally distribute blood in your head (and consequently your brain) temporarily if that makes sense. Try not getting up as fast, should solve the problem.
It happens to me sometimes. I lay down, flat, and about 5 minutes least, i get up real fast and start walking away, it feels like my blood went to my head. I feel kind of dizzy in my head, but i can still walk and everything. It just hurts like hell.
You completely described exactly what happens to me. Just odd to me because no-ones been ever to relate to an odd health related "event" like this before.
It's called an orthostatic hypotension - an irregular drop in blood pressure Can't doubt wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthostatic_hypotension
This happens me pretty much anytime I lay down for an extended period of time. Once I stand up everything goes black for about 5 seconds and I feel slightly dizzy, all I have to do is stand still and it goes away quickly.
When you stand up from when you sit down/lay down, do it slowly. But opening discussion on head rushes.. Have any of you guys had one so bad that it lasted for at least a full minute?
I had one last for about three minutes once a few years ago.
Got the exact same thing.. Almost passed out a few times but i usually recover after a few minutes of fresh air or sitting down. I saw the doctor about it but she just did a diabetic blood test and checked my blood pressure (which was lower than normal) and told me i was fine and it is normal
jesus, i hate head rushes. I sometimes get up and my eyes hurt like hell, i can't see much. I used to think there was something wrong with me, now i know they're normal.
That means you have a problem. Probably blood pressure. I would go to a cardiologist immediately to be honest.
Hahahahahah
