Adding EMS 4 years after the release isn't really going to revive the game.
I wasn't aware it was dead.
I guess you could say it was left 4 dead
-get over here kai i'll fight you you damn ninja-
Oh hell yeah I was never a huge fan but I will definitely give it a play or two.
I am more awaiting the Dota 2 native client, tho.
What are you guys talking about. The game is not dead.
Left 4 Dead 2 is almost always in the top 20 of most played games on Steam with around 11000 people playing it at the same time.

Well, it could've been better if it wasn't released a year after L4D1. Of course, L4D1's animations are always pleasing, while L4D2 looks like a downgrade because of laziness
I never really got the appeal of this game. It's incredibly boring to play co-op because there's only 3 or 4 campaigns (that never ~dramatically~ change) worth playing, and the multiplayer is filled with awful people.

Get seven good friends/or from a community you go to and play Versus.

IRL LAN is where it's at; I've had over a hundred hours of fun with friends two on this. Lots of random shit happening that you can laugh at, and bullying the fourth person (who invariably gets to play Rochelle) is always entertaining.

Play it with friends.
This game is L4D1 with a set of new campaigns and characters and the addition of melee weapons and disfiguration. I have no clue why so many people complain about it.
Great. Now if they're kind, they should implement even lower graphics like -dxlevel 91 to TF2. Things look awful with all that shine on things that don't shine. And the framerate.
Lol they fixed the add-on menu after 3 months, finally.

The complaints boil down to a couple of glitch & exploit oversights & a downgrade in some of the cosmetic aspects of the graphics (now legs in firstperson and iffy firstperson gun animations). The issue is that the game is often seen as unpolished and undernourished in updates.
For example, when Resident Evil 6 went on Steam, it and L4D2 had promotional crossovermaterial. RE6 got the L4D2 survivors and a couple infected in a special Mercenaries mode, while all L4D2 got was a few RE6 monster replacements for L4D2 infected via mods from the Workshop, with a request for fans to do more for them for a "contest".
