http://techcrunch.com/2013/09/30/google-launches-web-designer-a-visual-tool-for-building-interactive-html5-sites-and-ads/
Google today announced the launch of Web Designer, a new tool for building interactive HTML5 sites and ads. The company first hinted at this launch in June, but had been quiet about it ever since. Web Designer, which Google calls a “professional-quality design tool,” is now officially in public beta and available for download for Mac and Windows. As Google notes in today’s announcement, Web Designer was developed to allow advertisers to easily create HTML5 ads for mobile and desktop. Until recently, Google argues, advertisers “didn’t have the tools they needed to easily develop content fit for today’s cross-screen experiences” and Web Designer aims to be the tool to create these experiences.
www.google.com/webdesigner <-- that page itself was created with the tool. This is super awesome and exciting, people like me who only know how to do basic HTML and CSS don't have to struggle with dozens of Javascript libraries to create super neat looking websites.
My body and portfolio are both ready.
To be honest, tools like this that makes web design overly simple kinda sucks for professional web developers and designers.
To be honest, tools like this that makes web design overly simple kinda sucks for professional web developers and designers.
this is true but it does look better than all the other crap thats put out there
To be honest, tools like this that makes web design overly simple kinda sucks for professional web developers and designers.
You still need to know how to design a website, and this only does the design, not the actual backend work i assume.
Reminds me of good ol' Moonfruit and Geoshitties With the internet basically becoming as common as the telephone now, with the collective knowledge of the human race being on it, it's always nice to see accessible tools for people to create with other than Blogspot/Twitch/Tumblr/Facebook/Etc etc When I was in 5th grade, it was uncool to be on a computer and browsing the internet, very few people my age even had access to it, and less knew how to use it. Now children 4 years old are navigating windows just as well as I can. Moderate Web Developing is probably going to be second nature to everyone within 20 years anyway
This is gorgeous. I liked what Google did with their Drive web hosting and this helps it also: flash for web is dead [editline]today[/editline] ohhh man it runs with OS X fullscreen mode unlike adobe products; so awesome I can't describe
It's going to be a long time before proper web design is as easy as "downloading an app.". Some of the results on here are very meh indeed.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42169829/bestweb/index.html Amidoinitrite?
Nice Papyrus. [editline]today[/editline] Wait, how did you use installed fonts? I only have these parameters I guess I should just type in my own font in the bottom right "font-family" CSS box?
So Google Sites is a different thing. At first I thought it was similar thing re-launched.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42169829/bestweb/index.html Amidoinitrite?
Wow it almost formats things correctly with indenting. Better than Dreamweaver at least.
Swebonny made something great with this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3843429/FPP/index.html
Flash for the web is officially dead
Not yet. This tool seems rather focused on ad content and not much else.

http://www.limitlessbox.com/holla.html I need to figure out how to get pictures into this
is there an easy way I can make the animation loop when it's published other than copy the same frames hundreds of times? The built-in loop option only makes it loop while previewing it for obvious reasons [editline]30th September 2013[/editline]
http://www.limitlessbox.com/holla.html I need to figure out how to get pictures into this
paste it or use image component/tool

Since it's a 3D environment, check out the front/top/side view options too. I want to add an iFrame or YouTube video. Events is also greyed out; these seem like important features It seems to only be greyed out in a plain HTML document but not the "advertisements"
Local dev finds easy way to make websites! Find out why Web Developers hate him!
What is this gimmick? I'll stick to Notepad.
you guys are pioneering the future of the internet
just another one
This is pretty horrible. It's far from a web design tool, it's an ad / animation tool. Macaw and Webflow on the other hand..
Sounds like adobe's animate tool except free!
Doesn't work on OSX leopard, what a shame. I wanted to make a neat expanding "my dick"
