"I don't have to tell anybody here that our country today faces enormous problems," he said outside of a Senate Democratic retreat in West Virginia. "We have a delusional president, who is way out of touch with the needs of the people of West Virginia and working people all over this country." Senate Democrats—including Sanders and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.)—rallied with marchers gathered outside of the retreat, urging the crowd to fight back against Trump and the GOP's effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Sanders added that the only way Democrats could "beat" Republicans is "through a massive grassroots effort." "We saw what that grassroots effort is about on Saturday with the women's march all over America," he said, referring to worldwide marches that drew millions of people, to yells and cheers from the protestors.
The Hill Still fighting.
Bernie Sanders is too good for this world, too pure
He should also add insane since the Republicans are starting to question his mental fitness.
Still fighting.
So are a lot of other Democrats, at this point why is Sanders so special anymore?
So are a lot of other Democrats, at this point why is Sanders so special anymore?
People like him?
So are a lot of other Democrats, at this point why is Sanders so special anymore?
Well, Sanders isn't strictly a Democrat and there was one big Democrat right now he appears to be doing nothing... By the way, how's mister Johnson getting on?
So are a lot of other Democrats, at this point why is Sanders so special anymore?
You're really asking why he's so special anymore? He's spearheading the resistance against Trump. He's been doing town halls attempting to understand why Trump won in the rust belt and talk to the people to help them understand why Trump isn't out for their best interest. He's been out with the protesters during the women's march, he communicates much more so than the rest of the Democratic leadership, and many believe had it been a Trump vs Sanders G.E., he would've prevailed. Not to mention he is the most popular and liked Senator in the United States. [editline]26th January 2017[/editline] Show me one progressive who is more trustworthy and honest than Sanders.
Bernie's got balls. I'd have voted for him in a heartbeat to be completely honest. The fact that he's still fighting after getting shafted by the media, the GOP, and the DNC is remarkable.
So are a lot of other Democrats, at this point why is Sanders so special anymore?
Because he didn't just slink back into the swamp and play damage control/status quo when he lost. He continued fighting for what he believes in and gives zero fucks who opposes him. He's different from other politicians who fight for "what they believe in" in that none of his views are bought by corporate or state interest (foreign or otherwise). Which isn't 100% true for all of his fellow politicians, but there's something to be said for how hard he fights despite having very little personal gain to find in it. Plus, idk, he's not fucking insane like Jill Stein/Gary Johnson or other people who fight for their actual beliefs too.
Bernie Sanders laying down... dishing out... some sort of thermal tissue damage thingy.
Every passing day it will become more and more painfully obvious how better off we'd have been with this guy in the White House
John Lewis and Joe Biden have been "fighting their whole lives" as much as Sanders, guys. Just because he ran for president doesn't mean he's still more important than anyone else against Trump.
Every passing day it will become more and more painfully obvious how better off we'd have been with this guy in the White House
It was pretty clear at the convention in July that all the Bernie supporters saw what was going to unfold three months later.
By the way, how's mister Johnson getting on?
Enjoying retirement because he's not in an elected post right now. I don't see where this question is going?
John Lewis and Joe Biden have been "fighting their whole lives" as much as Sanders, guys. Just because he ran for president doesn't mean he's still more important than anyone else against Trump.
Hes important because he's a figurehead for the antitrump protesters.
Enjoying retirement because he's not in an elected post right now. I don't see where this question is going?
I didn't know he was retired now. (I was making a joke about how Johnson has disappeared off the face of the planet now while Sanders is still kicking around. Just seems funny to me)
I don't think he can run again, he's too far up in the years, but if he can find a suitable candidate to endorse, someone like Gabbard, we might do well in the next G.E. If the country hasn't been torn apart by the insecure orange by then.
John Lewis and Joe Biden have been "fighting their whole lives" as much as Sanders, guys. Just because he ran for president doesn't mean he's still more important than anyone else against Trump.
Sure, but I didn't see Biden or Lewis do town halls immediately after to try to have a civil discussion between sides. I don't see Biden or Lewis sending a message every day stating we have to keep up the struggle for universal health care or free public college tuition. Biden and Lewis never ran for president on those ideals.
John Lewis and Joe Biden have been "fighting their whole lives" as much as Sanders, guys. Just because he ran for president doesn't mean he's still more important than anyone else against Trump.
If someone had praised Biden would you be saying "Well John Lewis and Bernie Sanders have been fighting their whole lives, why is Biden special? If someone had praised Lewis would you be saying "Well Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders have been fighting their whole lives, why is Lewis special? Doesn't seem like you're attempting to spotlight others who also fight for their ideals. Just looks like you're trying to downplay Sanders for no particular reason
I think it's sad that we're praising Bernie for stating the painfully obvious while the rest of the Demorats can't bring themselves to do even that much. What a joke of a party.
Just looks like you're trying to downplay Sanders for no particular reason
And others are not uplaying Sanders...?
And others are not uplaying Sanders...?

Doesn't seem like you're attempting to spotlight others who also fight for their ideals.

Johnson is enjoying retirement because he's not in an elected post right now. I don't see where this question is going?
Sanders is still fighting for what he believes in just as passionately as he always has, where is everyone else?
And others are not uplaying Sanders...?
uplaying isn't a word so... I'm not sure, are they?
Elizabeth Warren is pretty cool too. Don't forget her.
Elizabeth Warren is pretty cool too. Don't forget her.
Nah, she refused to endorse Bernie in the primaries. She can act as progressive as she likes, but when it comes to standing up for it, she failed that litmus test.
uplaying isn't a word so... I'm not sure, are they?
I'm pretty sure they're Origining him instead.
So are a lot of other Democrats, at this point why is Sanders so special anymore?
Because plenty politicians aren't. Like the ones letting through trumps cabinet without trying to fight the choices at all
So are a lot of other Democrats, at this point why is Sanders so special anymore?

John Lewis and Joe Biden have been "fighting their whole lives" as much as Sanders, guys. Just because he ran for president doesn't mean he's still more important than anyone else against Trump.
What are you even trying to say? Judging who's "most important" is ridiculous. I'm not very familiar with the actions of those names you mentioned, but if they're fighting too, all power to them as well. Sanders is 'special' because he gathers attention and has a large following. Anyone else that does the same are special, too.
This isn't news or else there would be a post every time Donald Trump tweeted something.
This isn't news or else there would be a post every time Donald Trump tweeted something.
This is news, as it has to do with the civil unrest with the Trump administration/presidency and Sanders is the spearhead of that resistance.
