Jack Robinson of Hampshire, England, passed away on April 1. According to The News in Portsmouth, the 4-year-old was diagnosed with the tumor in January. When doctors gave him only a 5 percent chance of surviving, friends and family banded together to help grant some of the boy's final wishes. Singer and former U.K. "X-Factor" judge Gary Barlow visited Jack in the hospital. The 4-year-old also received a birthday video message from Matt Smith, who plays The Doctor in the BBC TV series "Doctor Who."
reference to the sonic drowning funeral thread
This someone seems more tasteful than the Sonic one, I guess it's the white uniforms.
Poor judgement now I feel terrible.
it was literally the first thing I thought of don't worry
This someone seems more tasteful than the Sonic one, I guess it's the white uniforms.
IMO whether it's tasteful or not is rather irrelevant as long as it's what the boy wished for. It's probably a plus for the mourning family, though.
This someone seems more tasteful than the Sonic one, I guess it's the white uniforms.
I'm also pretty sure that the boy actually wanted his funeral to be like this, while the Sonic funeral was the parent's idea.
I'm also pretty sure that the boy actually wanted his funeral to be like this
It was his final wish
I'm also pretty sure that the boy actually wanted his funeral to be like this, while the Sonic funeral was the parent's idea.
Oh then it does make a lot of difference. That other boy couldn't foresee he'd drown though so those parents could only guess what he would have liked his funerals to be like.
So are the stormtroopers hired, or are they family/church members dressed up as stormtroopers? I can't imagine what it's like to be hired to be a stormtrooper at a funeral.

I'd be happy if it meant I could help fulfill a boy's final wish.

Perhaps they're part of the 501st? Their disguise looks pretty genuine.

Very possible the British branch of the 501st, they do a hell of a lot of charity work and do things like this for fans who have passed away.
He should have been burned on a pyre. That's how the Jedi do it, if I recall correctly.
Jack Robinson of Hampshire, England
All of the actors of the Empire were british. So this really fits it.

Well not all, but main head honchos yeah.
EDIT: Somebody already said my idea :/
I hope they had this playing during the procession.

I'd do it for free, "hey want to dress up as a stormtrooper and make a dying kid really happy?" fuck yeah.

Probably volunteers from the 501st. I can't really imagine their being a business behind hiring storm troopers for funerals.

Pyre burning is illegal in the UK sadly.

It'd get really awkward if some Neo-Nazi only saw the headline of the advert and hired the totally wrong kind of Stormtrooper, for one thing.
I expected a funeral pyre.
I'm not usually one to get upset about stories I read online but I almost teared up at this. It's so innocent and sad
I hope they played the Imperial March on his way down. RIP bro.
