Barbosa also said there was no reason for the government's marriage licensing offices to wait for the Brazilian Congress to pass a law authorising same-sex marriage. This...this isn't good. I don't think people understand just how deeply religious the majority of Brazil is, the majority is also extremely poor and uneducated. There's going to be a lot of violence because of this. I mean, good for LGBT, for sure, but holy shit the aftermath is going to be scary
