• Rich Douchebag (Martin Erzinger) Won't Face Felony Charges For Hit-And-Run
Morgan Stanley wealth manager Martin Joel Erzinger will not face felony charges in a hit-and-run incident with liver surgeon Dr. Steven Milo. The reason Martin Erzinger will instead face misdemeanor charges: he manages too much money. Martin Erzinger is charged with ramming his Mercedes into Steven Milo as Milo was cycling near Edwards, Colorado. Erzinger allegedly sped away from the scene of the accident and called a towing company, not mentioning a collision with a bicycle. Police caught Erzinger as he was loading a broken side-mirror and bumper into his car. District Attorney Mark Hurlbert said that Martin Erzinger would have to disclose any felony charges to his clients, which would negatively impact his ability to maintain his income. This misses the whole point of felony charges. Mark Hurlbert rationale does not address the fact that Steven Milo will have trouble doing his job (i.e. operating on people) with the debilitating after-effects of the crash. What Hurlbert did do, though, was send a message that, due to his command of great wealth, Erzinger will not face the full consequences of his actions. In other words, had Martin Erzinger worked at Pizza Hut (instead of just stopping there after the crash), would he have faced misdemeanor charges for the same reason, i.e. potential inability to pay restitution, or would he be charged with felony hit-and-run? Steven Milo, who lives in New York, was given one day's notice about the change, and did not have a chance to respond. Most blogs are railing against Hurlburt and Erzinger. Business Insider seems to be supporting Martin Erzinger, operating under the mistaken impression that the hit-and-run simply fell from the sky; or that Milo flew backwards at great velocity out of nowhere at Erzinger's car.
http://www.nowpublic.com/world/martin-erzinger-dodges-felony-hit-and-run-charge-too-rich-2725698.html Honestly what did this asshole thing he hit that damaged his car that badly a bug?
above the law because he's rich wealth inequality today is just disgusting
You realize that wealth inequality was a lot worse thousands of years ago.
You realize that wealth inequality was a lot worse thousands of years ago.
Christians could buy being the pope, and buy redemption for their sins about a thousand years ago.
a doctor is much much much more important than some shitty wealth manager.
Anyone Ever Notice That The Titles Of News Threads are Always Like This?
Anyone Ever Notice That The Titles Of News Threads are Always Like This?
Most news websites capitalize all the words in the article's heading.
fucking rich assholes.
I am reminded of The Great Gatsby.
Don't you just love how equal our justice system is?
You realize that wealth inequality was a lot worse thousands of years ago.
There shouldn't be any wealth inequality at all. People need to protest
Sounds like a case for internet activism
get his phone number & adress send pizzas to his doorstep and bankrupt him
Anyone Ever Notice That The Titles Of News Threads are Always Like This?
What's up with people with Scyther avatars pointing things that are grammatically correct as if they aren't?
You realize that wealth inequality was a lot worse thousands of years ago.
Doesn't make it justifiable today.
You realize that wealth inequality was a lot worse thousands of years ago.
Oh, I guess this is no big deal then.
Oh, I guess this is no big deal then.
He wasn't implying that at all.
This news hit me like a Mercedes.
Christians could buy being the pope, and buy redemption for their sins about a thousand years ago.
look up "indulgence" and corruption within the catholic faith plus the protestant reformation's causes.
This reminds me of the season finale of the Boondocks, where Ed Wuncler's company plans to set off a bomb in one of his buildings as a false flag terrorist attack, killing the only person in the building and turning him into an icon to rally the nation and make a killer profit off of merchandising the whole situation. When federal authorities try to stop him, they are prevented by a call from President Obama, and Wuncler gets away with it because he is rich.
Boy that's pathetic
You realize that wealth inequality was a lot worse thousands of years ago.
In this modern age of science and learning, it's pretty bad, there was no comparison being made to thousands of years [editline]12th November 2010[/editline] I atleast hope the bastard feels bad about it
