• Logitech Z323 without speakers only AUX, possible?

Just wanted to check before I brought one. I was thinking of buying the Z323 because it has a nice decent bass in the sub, but my current X-140 speakers were better than the speakers for the Z323. The 3.5mm audio lead is connected to the right speaker (hence why it has a serial connection to the sub), but it has the AUX inputs on the back also. So my idea was to split the audio with an audio splitter, connect my current speakers to one end of the splitter, the other end to an 3.5mm to RCA adapter, then plugging that in to the sub. Would this work?

How do you know your current ones are better annyway?

Then again, speakers would be tinny without any bass, right?
