• A mother gives birth to a thirteen pound, twelve ounce baby at Mercy Hospital
When they entered the birthing unit at Mercy Medical Center on Thursday, the Stewardson family was expecting a baby. Family members did not expect their child would be the biggest naturally born baby the hospital had ever witnessed. Kendall Stewardson holds the titles of wife and mother. Now, you could add "wonder woman" to the list. The five thousand or so infants who arrive at mercy hospital each year are precious and special, but woah, baby! ...this one is a big deal. Like most second children, Asher`s delivery is compared to the first child. Asher’s brother, Judah, weighed in at a whopping twelve pounds, but Asher looked smaller on the ultrasound, and he took just over six-hours of pushing. Kendall says, “And when he came out we all thought he was smaller and then we put him on the scale, we were very surprised, but he`s three inches longer.” Twenty-three and a half inches, total. But the weight, that`s what really got the nurses talking. Thirteen pounds, twelve ounces. What`s more amazing is that Asher was born naturally. Meaning no surgery. And no drugs for Kendall during delivery. There are risks to a baby born nine days past due, and at such a large size. “So, everyone like double takes when they see him, but for us it`s pretty standard and it wasn`t much worse than probably most people`s” says Kendall Kendall’s husband, Joshua says, “And just to have two that had absolutely no issues, we`re definitely very blessed that way.” Kendall says it was all worth it for their new little wonder. “And he`s really sweet, so we got a good package at the end of it, too.” According to the national council of health statistics, only 1 in 1000 newborns weighs more than 11 pounds.
http://www.wtkr.com/news/who-story-thirteen-pound-baby-20120128,0,585317.story
how is that news. baby get borns every minute
The baby is almost 14 pounds... This whole "I'm so jaded, this news sucks. Why am I reading this?" attitude is getting rather stupid.
But a 13 pound baby. It says right in the article that only 1 in 1000 kids are over 11 pounds.
how is that news. baby get borns every minute
I guess because it was the biggest baby born at the hospital. That really isn't news worthy though. Most likely posted in SE due to the fact that there's a Mercy Hospital in L4D.
"...we were very surprised, but he's three inches longer.”
I laughed harder at this than I should have.
going to go out on a limb here and say either: a. abnormal weight, i know most babies are like 8-10 pounds. or b. Mercy hospital, hurr hurr l4d has a hospital of the same name. We don't care about news like this... i don't think anyone really does. It's only news based on a technicality. [editline]30th January 2012[/editline]
but there are a lot of mercy hospitals
It actually disgusted me when people spammed the mercy hospital review page with fake reviews (that were horribly written) for the Mercy Hospital located in Pittsburgh, PA.

It's pretty obvious what it's about.

I wasn't disappointed. If you're so fascinated in the article, write the family a "congratulations" letter, i'll chip in a Abe Lincoln. But you have a good point: I'll take my leave as i have nothing to contribute.
And thats how baby boomers are made

I bet that woman was screaming for mercy once she was through that ordeal.

Why do I get dumbs for simply referencing to Left 4 Dead's first campaign? Anal spergs want their threads CLEAN AND ON TOPIC1!!!!
Why do I get dumbs for simply referencing to Left 4 Dead's first campaign? Anal spergs want their threads CLEAN AND ON TOPIC1!!!!
Your first mistake was even mentioning the name of the hospital knowing what would happen. I guess you just forgot that theres all kinds on the internet. haha It happens to the best of us
Why do I get dumbs for simply referencing to Left 4 Dead's first campaign? Anal spergs want their threads CLEAN AND ON TOPIC1!!!!
Nice, thanks for singling me out by using the word anal. Maybe you should think before you make a terribly overdone post? Your Left 4 Dead reference wasn't even funny. All you did was post a picture of Mercy Hospital. That sure is original. Using words like "sperg" and phrases like "CLEAN AND ON TOPIC1!!!!" really doesn't help your case either. Thanks for the insult. Though it's true, I prefer my threads clean without threadshitting of your caliber.
Why do I get dumbs for simply referencing to Left 4 Dead's first campaign? Anal spergs want their threads CLEAN AND ON TOPIC1!!!!
Anal sperg? How would anal aspergers work? Isn't that just called regularity? Do we need warnings on bran cereal?
I was born at a Mercy hospital :O
Looks like Mercy Hospital didn't have much mercy on her vagina.
Why do I get dumbs for simply referencing to Left 4 Dead's first campaign? Anal spergs want their threads CLEAN AND ON TOPIC1!!!!
Well I'd like you to know that I rated you funny. Because of how horrible your post was, that is. It was also a sort of sympathy rating. You're welcome. [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/img]
That's one big ass baby, I bet the doctor had fun spanking it.
The baby is almost 14 pounds... This whole "I'm so jaded, this news sucks. Why am I reading this?" attitude is getting rather stupid.
Thats kind of what happens with the internet, news travels so fast you hardly read anything amazing anymore.
