makes sense, comes with a tablet AND a controller, for what you get the prices are very fair. Hopefully i can buy one eventually!
I'm sure they'll more than make up for it by continuing to not drop the price of their first party games. New Super Mario Brothers Wii, for example, is still £38 on Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Super-Mario-Brothers-Wii/dp/B002BRZ9G0/) despite coming out over two years ago.

You think that's crazy? Super Mario 64 DS, an eight-year-old game, still retails for $34.99 (the price of newly-launched DS games) in US stores.
Well Nintendo, you wiin some, you lose some. Hopefully they make up for the loss somehow.
You have to commend them for not jacking up the price so they wouldn't be at loss though.
At least it isn't 599 USD
This makes sense. Most companies already do this. They sell the game at a loss and make but the through software sells. What this means is that the wiiu can't be like the wii where you buy only a few games and have it collect dust after.

nintendo games always stay the highest prices its cheaper to just get them off ebay or used
I think it will be worth it, everybody's eating these consoles right up and the revenue will come from the games instead of the console itself
Hmmm; I should probably convince my sister to buy a Wii U if it's gonna be that cheap. £185 seems a fair price for a console, especially the harbinger of Generation 8 that has a tablet, controller and camera in the same peripheral. If I get a job I might just stump up some money for it myself.
