I recently downloaded the Battlefield 3 beta and I've been trying to play it but whenever I try to join a server it just says that it's joining and then it goes away and does nothing at all.
I've tried messing with the firewall and Avast but nothing has worked.

Restart pc
Update PC to latest service pack if using vista
Update GPU drivers.
Sometimes the crash log is behind the origin screen.

I restarted my PC and nothing
I updated my GPU drivers and for some reason blue-screened
Try opening these ports:
TCP Ports: 80, 13505, 18800, 18805
UDP Ports: 53, 10000, 11000-11030, 18805
All else fails, turn dmz on when you play.
That worked for me.
