this is missing the FC yelling at people to shut the fuck up as an idiot joins the comms on his music bot accidentally. Haha holy shit that Rohk smartbomb camp [editline]21st November 2014[/editline] Seriously how did they not have a +1 for that fleet
god that video gave me goosebumps at the end
Soon as I saw Rooks and Kings I knew that somewhere in the video there was going to be some dirty bullshit. Awesome
God, voice comms just has a certain feel that blasted me with nostalgia. That inspiring as hell music didn't help.
This is how games of EVE's scale should be marketed. Cinematics don't do certain games enough justice. Player experiences are required to actually acquire interest.
Interesting how the economy extends directly into the real world in form of using ingame items to pay for the 15$/month subscription (they have an item which when used adds a month to your account). In theory, you could start with the free 15 day trial and never pay. I've never played this game, though..

Have fun getting that much ISK in two weeks. Three if you get a buddy invite.

I had that idea myself a while ago.
Holy fuck what. How did it double in the 6 months I've been away
General income inflation, more players means more demand, and there's more things you can do with a plex now like dual-character training so that doesn't help.
Holy fuck what. How did it double in the 6 months I've been away
Really wish I had bought a bunch when they were only 300mil
Holy fuck what. How did it double in the 6 months I've been away
if you like that, then you'll love knowing that the prices for ships are dropping like flies. That said, this is how eve should be portrayed. This is perfect.
Too bad there are too many bad corps out there that promise too much without really delivering. I've tried to get back into eve for a total of 4 times after my old corp broke apart, and I just couldn't do it, because my new corps were too boring.

They promised and delivered.
They did a really good job of making it look way more exciting than it is. I tried to play because I wanted to get into these huge fights and corporate espionages, but I couldn't get past the hundreds of hours of grinding and coasting that you need to get there.
Create a new character Spend one day training skills Buy and fit a Rifter Go into low and try to kill things repeat You can now have fun in EVE
Either that or get into a large-ish corp in null, with any luck you'll be having decent sized fights within a month. Either that or join a small gang low-sec corp, those fights can be really fun.
I can't say it's unrealistic, it's certainly more beleivable than when Ubisoft tries to make a video like this. [sp]"IT'S HAVOC!"[/sp]
If they want it to accurately represent EVE online they're missing the thousands of hours where nothing interesting is happening and you're hard-limited to shitty ships because your sign up date is too recent. If you want to play this game now, you better be prepared pay a subscription fee for at least 6 months and either not play at all during that time (and instead train skills offline) or just mindlessly play cannon fodder ships over and over while everyone who isn't behind ten thousand timewalls kills you with much more interesting things.

They're designed to be a timesink and reward you the longer you play. You don't need to spend hundreds upon hundreds of hours training/doing nothing, it only takes a few days or so to train to actually be useful in a fleet. I would recommend anyone new to join a corp since it's a shortcut to fun.

You can affect your progress rate in other games. You can't in EVE.

Also the time spent grinding XP in other MMOs to affect your progress is even more of a time sink then EVE. at least in EVE when my skills are training I can be running missions, mining, PVPing, or any other various activity that I'll actually enjoy.
You can do precisely nothing with meaningful gains until you get a shitload of certifications, so no, you can't, not unless you buy some p2w plex
The end, all that shouting, god damn that sounds so fucking awesome!
You can do precisely nothing with meaningful gains until you get a shitload of certifications, so no, you can't, not unless you buy some p2w plex
no
I still feel like $15 a month is pretty steep for a game that requires a huge time investment, if you don't have a lot of time to invest.
You can do precisely nothing with meaningful gains until you get a shitload of certifications, so no, you can't, not unless you buy some p2w plex
learn what you're arguing against before you argue with people who've done this for years.

Just because your first experience in EVE was met with getting destroyed by someone in Dramiel in 0.4 because you went to go mine in your Bantam doesn't mean the game is shit. The "timewall" aspect is hardly a bad thing. A month-old newbie can be just as effective (if not better) at piloting a certain ship than I ever will be, and I've been playing since 2009. You can affect your progress rate in EVE. Cybernetics, Implants, and Attribute Enhancements. If you want to learn how to pilot a Titan instantaneously, you're really dumb. The purpose of the skill training system is to create balance. Do you have any idea how insane it would be if everybody and their grandmother could get whatever skill they wanted in a heartbeat? It would be Armageddon Day on Singularity every day of the week. Certifications have always been and continue to be useless. Half of the skills in the certification planner are ultimately useless. Who the fuck needs Explosive Shield Compensation 5? Absolutely nobody. And P2W PLEX? Are you fucking serious? Sure, you can go out and sell a PLEX on the in-game market and net almost a billion ISK now, but that is fucking moot if you're retarded and don't have the necessary skills to fly anything. Oh wow, you're sitting on 800mil now and you're a week old! I bet you can go out and fit an L4 Mission Fit Tengu right now! OH WAIT, you can't! You don't have the skills yet. And even if you did, the actual skills needed are just the half of it. You still need to be a competent pilot and know how to use your ship and its fitting effectively, or else you'll just be a dumbass flying a party pinata. tl;dr stop lying about a game you either never played or only played for two weeks
