Every single game I have that runs on the source engine doesn't work anymore. Steam says the game is starting up, and then claims that I'm playing the game, but absolutely nothing happens. The only way to "quit" the game is to ctrl+alt+del and end the process, which is doing nothing. What could possibly be wrong?
Also, Audiosurf no longer works. It gives me an unknown error, and AVG thinks QuestViewer.exe is a threat. Not sure if related to the first problem.
AVG could be causing a problem, I'd use Avast instead, AVG has become a bit shit recently

He might have some execution problem that causes AVG to notice something is wrong.

Try uninstalling avg, if still doesn't work. And can't you trace the error from any of the games? Could be a problem with your drivers too.
Try updating your video drivers. You'd be surprised about how many problems they can cause.
