Ever had a time where something ironic fits into the TV show you where watching?
Ive seen alot over the past couple of days knowing here in Australia we had the tsunami warnings, I dont have any video of thoes ones, But i was watching some lost marathon and it displayed a warning when they where on the beach.
Older ones i can find:
Tornado Warning During "Return to the planet of the apes"
[release]During a broadcast of the movie "Back to the Planet of the Apes", on a certain television station between 8 and 10 that is unfairly picky about being honored in this manner, a Tornado Warning was issued by the National Weather Service. Here it is.[/release]
Well, Its does not sound strange when reading it, But when watching it you would think ironic.

Please Don't Eat The Six Million Dollar Man
A funny one, Someone put on the screen "Please don't eat the daisy" when Six million dollar man came on.
[release] During the broadcast of an episode of The Six Million Dollar Man, someone at WFLD Channel 32 screwed up and played the bumper for (of all things) the show "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" instead of the correct one.
Rumor has it, thirteen employees were fired as a result. ;-)[/release]

"The Max Headroom Pirating Incident"
Posted in the strange broadcast thread aswell.
[release]During a broadcast of the Dr. Who episode "Horror of Fang Rock" on WTTW Chicago Channel 11, on Sunday November 22nd, 1987, at around 11:15pm, a Video "Pirate" wearing a Max Headroom mask broke into the signal and transmitted one of the weirdest, unauthorized things ever to hit the Chicago airwaves.
Earlier in the evening on the same day, during the Nine O'Clock News on Channel 9 (Yes, a completely different channel) the Max Headroom Pirate also broke in - although it was for a much shorter time and there was no audio.
Needless to say, Dan Rohn (the sports reporter) was a bit flustered.
And no, he was never caught.
My Take: The guy was probably high and/or drunk. Even with the audio distortion, his ramblings don't make much sense. Here's what I am able to make out:
"He's a freaky nerd!"
"This guy's better than Chuck Swirsky." [another WGN sportscaster at the time]
"Oh Jesus!"
"Catch the wave..." [reference to a Coke commercial at the time of which Max Headroom was a spokesperson]
"Your love is fading..."
"I stole CBS."
"Oh, I just made a giant masterpiece printed all over the greatest world newspaper nerds." [??]
"My brother [mother?] is wearing the other one."
"It's dirty..."
"They're coming to get me..."
(Note also that he appears to be wearing a [rude word deleted] on his middle finger.)[/release]

I remember once, I'm not sure whether it was a dream or not, but I was young and had to go to school after 15 minutes or so, I was watching Nickelodeon and them some weird commercial came. The commercial showed a guy (probably somewhere in 18-25 years old) waking up completely naked. He walked to the shower I think and then the commercial changed. I remember looking at my sister, and she looking at me with a some sort of 'what the fuck' face.
I still don't know whether that was real and I don't really want to ask my sister whether she remembers it. Can you imagine "hey sis, do you remember that commercial we once saw on nickelodeon where some guy with his penis showed up"
I was hoping that this was about subliminal messages or something, but the Planet of the Apes/Tornado thing was funny.
Max Headoom scares the living shit out of me.
I never seem to notice if there is ever a weird message aired
Oh God I remember the Max Headroom thing from Cosmic Duck's creepy-ass thread.
I still laugh every time the girl starts spanking him.

A dream, it is clear that you fantasize about penises in your sleep.
the max headroom thing is effed up. pretty cool though
I was about to stroll in here all smug and be like "it's just an EAS dumbass" but now I'm just going to tell you this was in that one cosmic duck thread.
what is so scary about max headroom
I find it more funny than creepy
The Max Headroom incident was awesome.
T'would be great if someone were to repeat it..
How the fuck did the Max Headroom thing actually get on there?
I remember one day a couple of years ago there was either a rugby game on tv at prime time so a lot of families were watching it with children watching too when all of a sudden a porn scene popped up on the channel that the rugby game was on and it took over for a few minutes then the rugby was back on.
The next day there was an article about it on our news channels.
Wow that's a little creepy

I swear I remember hearing a story about a similar incident happening during an episode of the Flintstones...
For analog stations it is relatively easy to break into the transmission network. All that is needed is to determine the frequency used in the studio-to-transmitter link, then generate a higher-powered signal at the same frequency from a position near the broadcast transmitter site, essentially jamming the original signal. The input stage of a cheap video sender can produce the right kind of signal. A low-power microwave signal generator or a home-made equivalent from easily available components provides the signal (which is pointed at the receiving dish antenna).
Shit that guy ruined a perfectly good episode of Doctor Who

Oh fuck I remember the scary copy pasta about people who watched it when they were younger.
It's probably supposed to be creepy, but when the guy was going "Oh Jesus huhuhu Oh Jesus!" I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
