I was just wondering if a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 could run Garry's Mod.
It should run it on at least low settings
Alright, I never really was bothered by low settings, unless it was a flash game.
I have one on my old computer, 1 min 10 avg 19 max fps.
I can play it on my old computer with a 5200 and 512mb of ram :v:

At what fps?
GMOD runs perfectly well on the 6200 on medium settings, 20-40 fps.
At what fps?
On lowest settings it takes 15 minutes to start up the game, 20 to load a level, and then I get around 15fps.
It worked fine on my old machine with a 2.8 GHz P4 and an Nvidia FX 5200, it must have been in the high 40s with lower settings.
source games are cpu intensive (not really intense, but more cpu than gpu)
If not you can always run it in Direct-X 8 by putting -dxlevel 81 in launch options under properties, Should get a few more fps.
6200 can put settings on high though with more than 30fps depending on your resolution :/

No they aren't, they are more GPU intensive than CPU intensive.
As for running it on a 6200, it will run like shit with even the smallest contraptions, so it will run alright maybe with an empty singleplayer map on lowest, but it will turn to a slideshow as soon as you build anything or you play multiplayer.
I used to run Gmod on a 6600NT, after Orange Box, it was near impossible, the shit lagged even at the smallest stuff.

Not exactly, maybe if he's just blowing shit up, but as long as he has more than 1gb of ram he should be able to play fine on larger maps.

I used to play it on a 6200, was alright, I stuck with it for a good year. Before that I was using a 5200 and that ran it too.
I used to play on the 6800GT. Ran at 40-50fps.
Then I got a 9800. :D
Before the engine upgrade (orange box engine) it would run ok. But after the engine update, the 6200 would be very laggy.

A new/old engine toggle would be handy, if you ask me..
I had a rig with with a 2.5 ghz processor, 512 mb ram and the 6200... i got about 20 fps on de_dust, with about 8 players... I think i was running medium with 800x600

And this GPU is probably onboard.

I loved my 6800GT to bits, until it broke because of me knocking my PC off the desk while playing City of Heroes .:downs:
Considering I could run it with a 6150SE at low I think you can
It worked on my old machine too. 195 Fps
It works perfect on my Geforce 6100, so i could only imagine it would be better on the 6200.
I run Gmod on a 7600, and it sucks... 6200 must be utter shit... :/
I used to be able to run G-Mod at 60FPS with a 6200 and 768MB of RAM, granted everything but Textures on low
